Thats my preference tbh.. im a big LeBron fan and also like D-Wade so thats the reason ill be pulling for the Heat.. plus it will be nice to see all the LeBron haters shut the up for at least an offseason (Lol Woj). Cant really stand the Thunder (Durant and Westbrook) or the Bulls (Noah and Boozer and Rose is already extremely over rated). Obviously Lakers are last on anybodies list.
Dallas - want dirk to win one, he's a good guy, turtle not so much

I want Mavs/Grizz tbh, think it would be a great series. Though I find myself liking the Thunder, Bulls, and Heat when I watch their games.
He's not condemning the Spurs fan base. He knows LA "fans" root for other teams* as well, especially anyone who is playing the Spurs.
*rooting for other teams is a requirement to be an LA fan, other fan-bases do it out of spite.
I have a new respect for the Mavs now, so I wouldn't mind seeing them go all the way. I dont care who wins the championship really, just as long as it isn't the lakers
this is even true for new LA Fans - its probably 90% of any new bb fan picks the lakers over another team, especially if they live outside the US. It's like the manchester united of EPL soccer or the Barcelona of La Liga

I like having the ringless argument over the Mavs, so I'd rather have the Heat/Thunder get one.
Though I wouldn't be that bummed about saying "Dirk Nowitzki, NBA Champion".
Spurs beat the Mavs last time they played in the playoffs, so we will always have that. It doesn't matter because I will bet any Mav fan $500 that the Mavs don't ring.
Mavs getting 1 ring is no danger to the Spurs franchise. The only people who really use that 4>0 rings talk are on the same level as dumbass Lakerfans who claim they have 16 world championships to try and put them up there with the Celtics as the #1 franchise. I wouldn't mind seeing Nowitzki ring. Out of all the dude in the NBA, besides Tim, he's been the most loyal superstar and he's always been humble and never been a . He's like a white, jumpshooting version of Tim Duncan.

See, this is the problem with this board. Fans with this superiority complex thinking if their team won a le then all is forgiven. The Celtics have 17 les and Cubby is constantly referring to Bynum putting Perkins in the hospital. The Lakers have 16 les but people still remember Bean's 3 year span of irrelevancy and 1st round exits. The Bulls have 6 les but people still remember MJ being a dirty gambler who got his father killed. Spurs have 4 les and Lakerfan is constantly bringing up old from 2008, I've seen these gots try to bring up the 1995 playoffs as some type of talk.
Point is, ringing doesn't erase your past failures, it just eases them.
Some fans go into gold mines looking for dirt.
