    After Caron Butler went down, the '10-11 Mavs became a somewhat unbalanced team with an extremely compe ve frontcourt (Dirk, Chandler, Marion) and an extremely weak backcourt (Terry, Kidd, Stevenson, Barea).

    This was the reason a broken down Brandon Roy and the likes of Andre Miller and Wesley Mathews managed to push the series to 6 games. Lamarcus Aldridge (who went into the series on an offensive tear) did almost nothing in the 2 Portland wins.

    Cut to LA series. Gasol is also struggling, but Kobe and co aren't able to outplay that weak backcourt. Result: 0-3, looking at a sweep.

    It's a shame that Kobe's only won 5 with Yoda Jackson, a string of dominant bigs and Buss' blank checkbook. It's even more of a shame that you suckers have to share your era of dominance with Tim Duncan and the Spurs. Tied together in history . . . forever. That's gotta hurt.
