In summer of 09, the Clippers traded Randolph who is dominating for Memphis now, for Richardson, who didn't even last this long there. Looking back at it, how dominant could the Clippers have been with a trio of Griffin/Randolph/Gordon?
You do know that the Clipper organization just wants to make the most money and pay the players the least they can pay possibly right? They would of traded them anyway, anyhow. Griffin is out once he signs a real contract.
That must have been why they tried signing Baron Davis and Elton Brand to max contracts in the same summer.
So you think the Clippers organization put winning ahead of money management?
Does it matter? I'm asking a hypothetical question.
It's the Clip Show. They would have found a way to screw things up even with all three of those guys.
They have Griffin now. It's not like either of them is a Center.
trading randolph and becoming crap allowed them to get griffin. it worked out. their problem is now their nucleus is this team. no additions since no draft pics and guys are gonna start getting paid soon.
They already had Randolph when they drafted Griffin. If Griffin didn't injure himself and played what was supposed to be his rookie year, we could have seen this trio in action.
Randolph was traded for Richardson because he was a headcase cancer. Whatever caused him to change, he found it in Memphis and I can promise you he wasn't going to find it in Los Angeles with the Clippers.
That trade worked out for both teams.
That organization ought to be put out of its misery - they always manage to screw things up.
If the Clippers were interested in winning games, they would have done so by now. In the same city the Lakers are beasting in terms of success, and there's the Clippers with their built in audience. It's a joke really.
And Vinny as a coach...
Not very.
doesn't matter they have griffin. he is the future, he should be getting as many touches as he can. zbo would just him over and stunt his development by being the human black hole.
