Phil Jackson to the Knicks in 2012? Don't rule it out.
According to an NBA source, Jackson is definitely through with the Lakers, but would not rule out him coaching again in the NBA.
"If the right situation presented itself, he would have to consider it," the league source said.
According to a league source, health likely won't prevent the 65-year-old Jackson from making a comeback in 2012-13 after taking a season off, though he has entertained the idea in the past of having a co-coach to make things easier.
The source said Jackson's hips are no longer an issue and he is considering knee-replacement surgery and a weight-loss program this summer to alleviate problems with his knees.
He'll take a year off maybe even two years then come back. He always wanted to coach in NY and the Knicks seems to have some of the pieces in place to lure him out of retirement.
He'll just wait to see what super-team assembles next to challenge the Heat, and take them over.![]()
Unless the Knicks get Howard or Deron I don't see it.
I'm surprised he'd leave that girl.
He would never coach a small market. Plus he needs a superstar player.
I'm sure Pau would still call.
Any chance Riley hires him if Spo doesn't finish the job?
Phil and Pat aren't the best of friends, I seem to recall.
Winning would heal a lot of things. I don't know how deep their problems are, but PJ would command instant respect in the locker room like no other coach can.
Unless that source was Phil Jackson, this rumor has no legs.
Why at 67 would any man stray from a girl as bright, warm & devoted as That Girl:::
