I don't see the Buss family rolling with Brian Shaw anymore. Had the Lakers gone out on top I think it would have been a no-brainer, but I think this Laker team needs a change of scenery and Shaw would simply be a continuation of Phil in many ways.

When I look at the candidates that are available, Adelman appears to be the ideal fit. He's always maximized his talent and can coach offense and defense equally well. Given our roster, I think he will be able to do wonders with the team.

Adelman runs the Princeton offense right? It's what made Divac, Miller and Webber so lethal

I don't know if he gets the Laker job, but Rick Adelman is a great coach. His teams have the best defensive rotation I've ever seen at any level. I always thought he should coach at the college level, where his coaching ability could win games.

, give us Shaw...He does ALOT with what he has, taking an team full of scrubs to 42 wins, imagine what he'll do with the Lakers. But he is not defense oriented

^ As great as Phil Jackon is, he couldn't convince Kobe not to chuck the Lakers out of the Finals with 3 other HoFers on the team.

But back to the topic, Adelman is a fantastic coach, with Gasol (assuming he is still around) and his passing skills, Adelman can, in some ways, recreate the Kings offense back in the early 00s.

Kobe and Shannon Brown, being great athletes, could be fantastic cutters, Bynum could add an element of low post scoring. Not sure what they could do with Fisher though.

You can't compare a player that earned rings as Robin with a player that got his rings as Batman. Very different thing . . .

LOL, # of rings, even as a lead, is about as overrated a stat as they come.

Only ignorant people who thought basketball is a solo sport would use that as the sole stat to measure the greatness of a player.

    Russell: 11
    Jabbar: 6
    Shaq: 4
    Duncan: 4
    Hakeem: 2
    Walton: 2
    Wilt: 2
    Moses: 1

We should all rank dominant big men this way.
