Looks like I'll have to be taking a road-trip soon.Yes, North Texas, you can finally grab a Double-Double Animal Style at the first two In-N-Out locations opening this Wednesday, May 11.
Locations in Frisco and Allen will open at 10:30 a.m. on that day, though they may open early if customers are waiting, according to an e-mail sent from In-N-Out represen ive Carl Van Fleet.
Fleet said the other North Texas locations are "at least several weeks, if not a few months, away" from opening.
The west-coast burger chain will have some fierce compe ion in the area, with Denver-based Smashburger looking to expand after investment from Cowboys offensive line player Mark Columbo and others brought the chain to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Columbo told NBCDFW they plan on opening a Frisco location of the chain in the near future.
In addition, burger barns like Mooyah, Five Guys Burgers and Fries, Evolution Burger, Twisted Root, Love Shack and more are all expanding into North Texas, further enflaming the burger battle.

Right down the road from me. Gonna wait it out a month, but traffic is gonna suck on Preston![]()
Mexicans want an In-N-Out too, along with a Steak and Shake. Bring them South!
there building a steak n shake by the rim @ six flags......in n out supposedly will be expanding to SA,Austin and Houston by no later than early next year....I'm hoping for fall![]()
Isn't there a steak and shake in Austin or somewhere by it?
Steak n Shake is SA based and they're building on at 1604 and I-10.
Steak n shake is complete crap. Whorrible.
Yeah steak n shake is so bad i'd take mcdonalds over it any day
Steak n' Shake up North is decent. In Austin it's probably the worst burger joint in town.
What's so great about these burgers?
Steak n Shake is overpriced crap.
There used to be a place either on 15th or MLK called Players that had good burgers and shakes. Haven't been there in forever so not sure it's still around.
A buddy I work with drives in from Little Elm and said the line was already around the block this morning.
they are good but nothing to overhype about. if you have ever been to P. terrys burger stand in Austin or top notch, its very very similar IMO.
I went there after a night of drinking and if food sucks when you're drunk..........
Best burger I've had in San Antonio since I've been here has been from Texas Hamburger Company..
i saw that place this weekend but it was closed.....need to make it out there![]()
Haven't been to many burger joints in San Antonio other than ty Chris Madrids.. but without comparing this place makes some delicious burgers..
I had Chris Madrid's a few weeks ago and it is still a great tasting burger.
I used to think so.. until I realized how lazy they are at making them and how greasy they are... got me sick.. I stopped eating that
Fox 4 was at the Frisco location this morning, first guy in line was this fat guy who said he'd been camping out for two days waiting for it to open.
Figures![]()
The only reason I want to try it is cuz of Big Lebowski
I hope my car doesn't get dinged up.
That's the thing: they're not the most amazing burgers ever or anything. I can make a better burger in my own kitchen.
They are just good, basic fast food burgers. Good quality ingredients, not overdone or overdressed. Burgers, fries, drinks. That's it. See the menu:
You can't even get bacon on them or anything, but the beauty is in the simplicity, I guess.
One of the main reasons I like them is because they remind me of when I lived in California. Whenever we go back, it's a must stop. I would probably feel the same way about Whataburgers if I were to leave Texas.
Those are some good burgers, Walter.
Shut the up, Donny
going up to the frisco location right now.. with high expectations
