Didn't have else going on today, sooo...(I went to the one in Frisco)
Damn, that's crazy. Props for sticking it out.

If nothing else, hopefully this shows In-N-Out that Texas is ready to support more than 2-5 freaking locations.

Crews preparing for more crowds today at In-N-Out Burger in Frisco
    By Valerie Wigglesworth/Reporter

I stopped by In-N-Out Burger in Frisco this morning on my way to the office. The California-based chain had opened early again today, but didn't have nearly the line that it did on Wednesday - its first day in Texas here and in Allen.

Burger-fanatics on foot all fit inside the restaurant, and the drive-through lane was manageable with less than 10 cars.

But crews are expecting another big crowd. They've got yellow warning tape wrapped around the shopping center parking lot to guide drive-through customers, who stretched more than 80 cars long on Wednesday morning (I hear it got longer at lunchtime).

Frisco's store manager Scott Bayliss said he's been humbled by the warm welcome to Texas. He's been with In-N-Out for 13 years and moved to Frisco from Los Angeles a month ago. In the video above, which was shot on Wednesday before the burger chain's opening, he's on the right in the blue shirt and red apron leading the song.

Bayliss loves his job and loves bringing a bit of joy into customers' lives. "Food is one of life's little pleasures," he said. "We offer a burger, fries and a drink. But it's more than that."

In case you missed it, check out today's story on why places like In-N-Out garner such a following. And you can watch the video of the grand opening here.
Wonder how long it will take for the crowds to become semi-tolerable.

Luckily, I've found a burger place here in Lexington that is almost as good

Smash Burger. Not sure how much of the country they cover, (had never seen one before moving here) but that is one tasty burger! BTW, they serve beer too.

Smashburger is overrated. I'd take a Chophouse Cheddar Burger from Whataburger over anything at Smashburger.

I've been to smashburger once. Once! And I intend to keep it that way. The novelty of "smashing" the meat on the grill really doesn't grab me. Gourmet prices for a salty all-around meal.

Agree. Way too salty meat. But I do love getting to opt for veggies instead of fries

    Okay. Wow.

I was only somewhat joking yesterday when I made the crack that my heart yearns for a Double Double. And there's no doubt in my mind that if an In-N-Out opened anywhere within an hour drive of me, I'd find a way to get there within its first week of business. But even I think it's ing bat to cry over a fast food hamburger. Equally bat to eat one everyday.

"North Texas also seems an appropriate fit for the expanding In-N-Out presence, considering its propensity of churches and Christian residents. In-N-Out's roots are largely Christian, and the chain even refers to bible verses on its food and drink items. "John 3:16" is printed in small text on the bottom of soda cups, milkshakes point to "Proverbs 3:5," and burger wrappers bear "Revelation 3:20."

Chik-Fil-A is highly Christian, too. Doesn't stop me from enjoying their nommy nuggets.

(Except on Sundays, of course...which is, ironically, 90% of the time I want Chik-Fil-A. And Las Palapas).
