Beat the Rays 5-1 to pull even at .500...Nice two wins to come back to after the atrocious start. Wow, the Rays are definitely not getting out to a quick start. Don't know if the Angels will be a playoff team this year, but I hope they're compe ive and challenge the Rangers who are going to be a good squad again this year.
i dont believe the Angels start was atrocious. yes they went 1-3, but 2 of the losses were only by 1 run and the other was a walk off 3 run homer in the 13th. Angels are looking good especially now that they figured out that Rodney sucks as closer. Now they just have to get rid of Kazmier. lol
Blowing late inning leads is atrocious in my opinion...but they've been handling the last few games like I suspect they would for the majority of the season. I agree with you that they need to cut Kazmir, but damn he pulled a Luke Walton over Moreno and Reggins.

Haren and Weaver have 8 of the Angels' 10 wins...(2-5) when those two are not pitching. HUGE series with the Rangers kicks off today. Hopefully the back half of the rotation can hold it down.

They got to find a place for him--he's played well so far. Nice blowout win last night. Though, it was such a smokefest they focused on some old Texas broad named Nola on the highlights. Like I care about some old lady on my sports highlights.

Weaver takes his record to 5-0...Too bad the Angels can't pitch Weaver and Haren 4 out of the 5 times. First time since 1945 (Chicago Cubs) that two starting pitches on the same team have won their first 9 games. 2 of 3 from the Rangers is pretty good.

i blame the offense more for that loss. The bullpen ed it up after the 9th inning, but we shoulda got more hits/runs by then.

Jered Weaver came back and just controlled the A's. Cy Young fave in the AL at the moment. Let's hope he keeps it rolling! I think he goes 20-5 this year...hopefully at least.
