i think the guy's a loon who has done more harm than good, but i wouldn't wish cancer on anybody. i know he's already had a checkered medical past with addiction issues, too.
Effects last. Amounts of the tar alone can stay for years and years.
yeah, i wasnt suggesting that it undid the risk. but clearly he recognized that he was putting himself at more and more risk and quit. i think there's more sympathy there than some guy who says " the doctors, ive been smoking 2 packs per day for 20 years and im fine" and then that person ends up getting cancer
True. I think cancer risk is higher with age too though. I've seen a lot of public figures healthy AF and then get cancer in their 60s, 70s, 80s, etc. and then drop dead within the year.
You'd think cancer would be a number one priority, but something tells me that the cure really means cutting into corporate profits.
it is, but its also very complicated. its not an external pathogen that you can isolate and develop a vaccine for like a virus or particular strain of bacteria. and then each type of cancer is so different from one another.
but the same "cure will cut into profits" concept could be applied to just about everything, and yet we still develop vaccines and treatments for all sorts of things. i dont see why cancer would stand out. its also just an incredibly complicated illness
No. But I figure that many of the causes are being suppressed or greatly downplayed and cancer rates are likely much much higher than they need be.
