Good start, bad end to the half....but the game is still in reach. Thunder have high percentage opprtunities at the baskets but aren't taking good shots or making the right pass like they were early in the game. Stop turning the ball over and rotate to the 3 and the gfame should be tight going into the 4th.

Ibaka on Dirk won't work, hope they change it on the second half. Not only he can't guard him but they are also wasting his blocking and altering shots ability. They could've use that when Barea was on the floor instead of converging on his penetrations and leaving shooters opened. That's when it all started for the Mavs comeback.
He should be abusing Kidd. He's been out of control too much in his drives. It's only a 7pt lead with Dirk going off...the law of averages will come into play later. You're right...bottomline is Westbrook has to put up big numbers and get role players involved. OKC seems to space the ball a lot better with Maynor on the floor. He should get more burn if Westbrook can't deliver.

Maybe Collison (if they don't hit him with fouls for being physical) or Thabo might get their turns next, but they're both smaller and KD isn't strong enough. Tough call for Brooks giving up the shotblocking at the rim, but Ibaka is the best equipped to guard Dirk, even with Dirk getting his imo overall. That may change.

Dirk plays with Shaq for 7 seasons, then with Gasol/Bynum/Odom for another 4, he has at least 3 rings.
Here's a guy who's never had any sort of interior player playing alongside him, something Kobe has had the benefit of his entire career.
Dirk has better individual playoff stats all across the board than "The Mamba."

Dallas' interior defense has been impressive, but OKC's bigs (particularly Nazr and Perk) make things easier on them when they don't catch the ball cleanly or make quick moves when in positions to score. The only one that hasn't looked bad out there to start is Serge and he's got 3 fouls. The wings can't be the only ones finishing at the rim if this game is going to swing back.

Disagree. I say Ibaka is being wasted. Dirk is killing plus he is NOT able to protect the rim. Sefolosha might be a better choice especially if you gonna help anyways ...
