Although one was in the east and the other was in the west: Vogel did a pretty good job with Indy after he took over with young talent, McHale not so much in Minny.

Mehh on Mchale doing games on TV. He is not bad, but he laughs at his own (and his partner's jokes) a bit too much for my taste. He and Cwebb seem to have a good rapport on NBATV though ...But he knows ball, but I didnt think he was that great in Minny as a coach. Whatever. Rox are stuck in no man's land ...they have some good pieces, but not good enough to be true contenders, they are being held hostage by Yao's health but not bad enough to secure a Blake, Rose, Wall "type" ...
ANd LOL any trades between Boston and Rox should require Pop trade commitee approval ...

He is and can be funny, but I also think he is a bit corny. I hate when comedians laugh too much at their own jokes ...why should he get a pass?But maybe Im too partial to chick that is why Im hard on commentators. I like Marv and Hubie out of the national guys I also enjoyed Collins but he coaching again ...
I think he is excellent in studio with Cwebb, because to me ,that format is meant for jokes like the TNT crew does. I prefer my analysts and playbyplay guys to make jokes here and there but focus more on basketball.
JVG also THINKS he is funny and is knowledgable, do you guys enjoy him? Based on last finals most on here hate him and Mark for Kobe "knob polishing" and corny jokes/lines ...?

Oh and whil i am critiquing television talent, I dont like Jon Barry, Dennis Scott or Eric Snow. And Rich Kamla is absolutely horrible. How he got his job, God only knows. he is like a louder white version of Ahmad Rashad, and THAT is saying something ...

Some of my fam are hating on Adelman because he doesnt have the style or personality of a typical LA coach ...and cuz they still hold ill will from the rivalry from early last decade ...but i think he is a good coach.
I am not sold on Shaw for "this" particular team. He played with Kobe and fish he may be a great coach down the line, but I get why the Lakers are hesitant.

Adelman will definitely get the best out of that team. He led a scrub team with no center to back to back 40 win seasons. He'll have a rested contending squad, who shall get Gasol to be the dominant force he should be, just because he is a player's coach, to which I can see Gasol responding to
