I read an interview awhile back where Darryl Hall was talking about the heydays of the 70's and 80's and how they both slept with all kinds of girls. One day Oates brought home a couple black girls for them and DH wasn't having any of it...thus the inspiration for the song. Watching the video takes on a whole new meaning now
