No. He's Slovenian, meaning Pop will break his fragile mentality.

I think Houston will sign him, but if they don't then take him.
Right now the Spurs don't have a 2nd PG, cause Hill looks more like a SF than a PG and I would not want to play Neal at the PG position. I know Manu can play it, but still I'd rather see someone from the bench that can play really good with the 2nd squad. And Dragič is a pretty good at playing with the bench players.

I'd love to have him in a Spurs uniform. With how well Lowry has played, he could end up being expendable on the Rockets.

I was thinking the same thing.

What's the use of having Hill around because he's been such a disappointment that Manu has become, in effect, the defacto backup PG on this team.

Bring in Dragic, ship Hill out elsewhere because he doesn't fit a need on this team.

The 4th qtr of Game 3 of the 2010 WCSF is not representative of what Dragic brings to the table on a regular basis.

Probably not, but at least he's shown enough competency to run an offense.

mah, those guys in PHX are pretty dumb.
Dragič is also a damn good Playoff player while Hill sometimes looks like a pathetic pussy.

Yeah, the same reason they thought it was smart to let Amare leave and replace him with Turkoglu and Warrick......they're in re ed

We need a SF and a Bigman, not a PG.

Really? Have you checked out where he ranks in turnovers/48 and assists/turnover?

Ya gotta love the world according to SpursTalk. If this thread is any example at all, the Collective Wisdom of SpursTalk (CWoS) now holds that Hill, after 3 years in the NBA, is not good enough to be a backup PG or a starting SG and therefore should be traded.

Meanwhile, as far as I can tell, an earlier and still widely held bit of CWoS holds that the rookie version of George Hill would have been a difference maker in the 2009 playoffs if only Pop had been smart enough to use him more.

Can't wait to see how the 2013 CWoS on Splitter compares to the current version.

    maybe some truth to this...

    or...

you would HOPE that 3 years down the road Hill would have improved-instead of regressed.

    ...

and Hill was the only one with any foot speed to stay with Terry and Barea during that series...but of course Pop is too smart to do the simple thing.

He ranks fine in that department when he's not playing with bootleg lineups that have Hakeem Warrick at center.

lol @ you saying the Suns were smart not to pay Amare the max

    1. his numbers were bad before the Suns signed Warrick.

    2. link to where I said that about Amare or STFU.

There's a misconception about regressing for 2nd and 3rd year players because they aren't improving at the same rate as they were. These guys get into the league and we think anything they do is a miracle the first year, but by year two it's expected and they seem to be leveling off because we don't see the improvement any longer. By the third year it seems like a regression because the player is just doing what they do, no longer introducing new things to their game. They found a limit and that's where they reside. Unfortunately we compare all of them to who we want them to be instead of who they can be.

Care to provide any objective proof that Hill has regressed from season 1 to season 3?

This doesn't even deserve comment. Get back to me when you review what actually happened in that series.

It's the expectation game. Some people around here expected Hill to evolve into a near All-star level player. He has improved offensively and he's handled heavy minutes. On the defensive side, it's been a team-wide regression so it's hard to tell how much he's regressed as an individual. He's certainly no Bruce Bowen, which is another irrational comparison that some folks around here made about George earlier in his career.

He's a perfectly good complimentary guard who fits very well in a backcourt led by Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

but I wouldn't trade hill for dragic
    Agree completely.

Or, maybe like Hill, they actually regress in year 3.
