Which Mav fan got mad at this?

If you can't point it out, I expect a heartfelt apology to Me, then Kori, then the NBA Forum.
    LOL, classic!

Wade would absolutely rape Terry if they played. Wade owns the Mavs. This time we won't spot you a 2-0 lead. We start out at home.

You shouldn't forget a couple of things.

1.) We had Butler in both games. He played good defense vs. James and Wade and gave us some offensive production as well
2.) Both games were quite early in the season, the Heat had time to gel afterwards. They are playing much better now
3.) If the Mavs make the finals, I feel some coming worse than 2006. James/Wade/Bosh will go to the line +40 times each game. It's not only that Stern hates Cubes, it's also about marketing. James losing with Cleveland was one thing, but now failing again although having Wade and Bosh in his team? That's Stern's and ESPN's worst nightmare. The value and networth of LBJ would drop. It's simple economy. As much as I would love the Mavs and especially Dirk to win a ring (he earned it), I'm pretty sure that if the Mavs play the Heat the free throw parade of 2006 for Wade will be eclipsed by far.

I disagree with the premise of this thread. Jinxes are re ed.
Though, I don't think the Mavs will be that much over matched by Miami, though, how
the games are officiated will probably determine a lot.

Miami is just playing good, right now. I think if the Mavs make it to the finals
they'll win. They've shut down Kobe, they're shutting down Durant. LeBron and Wade
are similar players, and neither can score 50 per game. Let's say, the big three
score 80 of their teams points per game. Mavs can shut down the rest. They'd need
a big series from Jason Kidd though, 10 pts. 10 assists per

davethedope is still praying that the Heat lose, such a ty poster..

Durant has been shut down by his teammates, more than anything, but regardless, Lebron and Wade are undoubtedly > Durant, and >> Kobe at this point..

I do think Dallas can beat Miami, but only by playing some heavy zone, and Dirk scoring an efficient 30 per game, which would be difficult for him against the Heat IMO..

I'm not praying the heat lose. I just want good series. I agree Wade and Lebron look better at this point, but people are just jumping off the Kobe
bandwagon. Kobe was just a formidable two weeks ago. I also think
Chicago is overrated, and beating them, the Celtics, and 76ers is no
indication of how good the East was this year.

As for Durant, let's see tonight, but the point I'm trying to make is that
these top players, even if they light it up, Mavs are finding a way.
Coming into the playoffs Durant/Westbrook looked like dynamite, now,
not so much. But let's see tonight. Mavs still have to get there.

Haslem,Bosh and Lebron will all have a crack at him.

This series favors Miami. They have HCA, and Dallas is going to have a seriously difficult time containing Lebron,Wade and Bosh who are playing great ball(Wade hasn't been as impressive against Chicago but he'll pick up soon)

But this is going to be a slug fest, so no one should expect a quick 5 game series and I won't be surprised if Dallas steals game 1 too. They waited 5 years for a payback so I'm surentheir compe ive juices will be flowing at an all time high in the opener.

Ya, it's not like some horrific match up between MIA and DAL. Dirk is good for at least two wins, so it goes at least 6. In the end, I think the fact MIA has two top 5 players on both ends is just too much.

I do think the Haslem come back complicates a little bit Dallas work, he should do some decent work defending Dirk. Bron is an option as the whistles are pretty easy for Dirk it could give some fouls trouble for both Bosh and Bro.

That is the thing with Bron at him. He's not going to shut him down, but he is strong and quick and he will get the benefit of the calls as much as Dirk.

Pretty much. Dallas couldnt beat Wade in 2006, so I'm sure as he'll they ain't beating Lebron and Wade. plus they're older now. They won't be able to hang with Miami IMO. Again, kudos to the Mavs for coming this far but that le would have to wait.

The problem with playing the Heat for any team is that the Heat will have the 2 best players in any series. It doesn't guarantee a victory, but having Wade and Lebron gives you a damn good shot in any game you're playing.

Plus Lebron will want to win, and Wade's compe iveness will kick into an extra gear again (like we saw against Boston). Having Lebron will be great, but having Wade will push them over the top imo. Wade is a Finals MVP and knows how to get it done on the biggest stage.
