ultimately it doesn't
I've been here now in S.A. (actually shertz) going on 7 years and the one thing that bothers me is the tex-mex reared friends of mine and co-workers that will invite me to lunch to establishments they say serve real mexican food when in all reality, it's ty tex-mex food. Yeah, I eat it. I am hungry. But I do, on occassion, slap them behind the head and ask them to please stop calling these joints places where REAL MEXICAN FOOD is served. It irks me on so, so many levels.
They are pals of mine but it's painfully obvious that these ignorant, canary island born (whatever that is) fools don't know crap about food much less what their culture really is. quite bothersome these S.A. natives are.
