Every dog has thier day. Until the mavs win the big one they will be seen the same way that they have always been seen. Here is the opportunity to erase that image.
Mavs: Strong willed team that can make huge comebacks and show poise down the stretch. Two legit big men (Dirk/Chandler) in the front court, clutch plays and stops, legit defense.
Spurs: Choke, weak minded, no bigs, can't play D for , great regular season team

While I don't agree to the overall sentiment of this post, I will admit that some of the runs these Mavs have put over these playoffs have been very 2003-esque.
They will still have to prove they have gotten over Miami.

Exactly. The most logical explanation I've heard for the Mavs great run so far is the excessive amount of rest Dirk has had with his long summers every year.
If the Mavs don't get it done this year, they stand little chance of winning another for some time. Comparing a 4 time winning championship team to a team that has never won a championship is not very convincing.
The Thunder have scored over 100 in every game this series except for one.

I wouldn't mind seeing Dirk, Kidd, and Coach Carlisle get a ring; however, that would mean that Cuban and Terry would get one as well and I just can't find myself cheering for them.
Go mavs, I know I'll be cheering for Dirk, Kidd, Chandler, & Marion .. group of really nice guys who deserve to win a ring a uva lot more than the america's favorite bandwagoner team led by super gots Bosh/James/Wade
