so when JT told you to spread rumors that he died, did he actually think anybody would buy it?
"I signed in on aim just to see what the JT situation was about! "

Do you still want to dump a past his prime Dirk for KG?

if you think Dirk is still in his prime physically, you weren't a Mavs fan 4 years ago. In that thread I said very clearly Dirk would always work harder than anybody else and still be great, but physically he was past his prime. I'm not wrong.

Loved the Westbrick pussy walkout. What a that guy is. I hope OKC trades him for an actual point guard. Durant/Harden/Real PG is going to be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
Hopefully dude found the Dallas players in the back and gave them their respect. Would hate for him to pull the LeBron "I'm a Winner" move tomorrow.

Didn't see what happened, but at least the team wasn't making love on the floor like they just got out of the second round or something.......

Doris Burke seemed to want to bait Mark Cuban, asking him why he's so quiet, and did it have anything to do with New York (Where the NBA is HQ'd). He just brushed it off, we all know he isn't going to piss Stern off.

You can tell this Dallas team is going to win it all. They got their wakeup call in game 4 vs. Portland, and haven't looked back. No more chokes for this squad. They disposed of Portland promptly, did a dance on the Lakers, and rolled up the Thunder.

This was probably the best Western Playoff performance since the 2001 Lakers. Expect it to continue against the east.

Like if beign at his physical peak would made a difference on Dirk's game, dude has never played better, he's at his prime.

They looked like the Lakers did at the 09 WC trophy presentation. Not a single was given.

    This.

I also don't get how people are saying "this is the Mavs last year, then they're gonna disappear"

Their window might not be huge but as long as Dirk is playing at this kind of level, they're not going anywhere

True, but we would have to retool... Marion/Terry/Kidd are aging... Beaubois would have to step in and make an impact

Dirk's walkout=realization of Miami Heat going to be almost impossible to beat and already having flashbacks of 06.

Yeah but you know that Miami has 3 stars and Dallas only has 1. It's a mismatch. I can't see Dallas winning it. The Miami Heat just have too much starpower. Basically the stars are shooting 75% of the shots. Too bad Dallas couldn't find that second player. Miami's defense has been swarming.

    09 lakers = 2.5 starpower ( +Pau+Bynum.5)
    09 Celtics= 4 starpower (The False+Ray+s bag+ bag AKA #1 PG in the league)
