lol i was already hoping to see mavs win it this year. i feel dirk deserves it, and I can't stand lebron.
but telling me to cheer for the mavs because its the "right thing to do" now makes me want wade to embarrass the mavs again.
but i still think mavs will win it in 6

Some of you guys are pathetic. I don't like the Mavs overall but Dirk is a very likeable/admirable/"classy" player and the style they play now is more like what the Spurs used to play and our Spurs have turned into the Mavericks of old. But how can any of you root for the Heat??? Seriously?? I mean they were gifted a le (which was hilarious, but Dallas has paid their due for the 2006 WCSF officiating) and now they colluded to have the top 2 players in the NBA together along with one of the top 5 PFs. that 3 man team surrounded by plug in pieces of trash. I will never root for the Heat. Not to mention they represent the exact opposite of what the Spurs do.

I think the disappointment of seeing the SuperFriends ring would be easier to get over than how insufferable Mavfan would become if their team actually sniffed success.
That being said, I'm really hoping it's the first time nobody wins the Finals.

The problem is the total lack of class that the Mavs and Heat show. It is totally against the grain of a Spurs fan to root for such a ill manner. The one thing we do know is middle school teachers are gonna catch from the kid wannabe Mav or Heat thugs this coming year.

That being said, you're an idiot if you go for the Heat, who were given a path to the finals. They encompass everything opposite of the Spurs organization.
Mavs are at least a legit team, which play team bball and dont run iso plays all the freaking time+ they have Dirk. So at least three positive things about that team.
Tbh rooting for the Mavs can only be the right thing when its against a Western contender like the Lakers.
Not a fan of how either team was constructed. Heat deserved their controversy this season but even the Mavs got some of their own after that Peja deal.
Anyway Heat in 5. Their young Big 3 and team defense will just be too good. They can always have a star on the court. NBA's ed if they stay healthy
