MVP was the wrong choice. Lebron had the highest win shares in the league again. Rose was only 5th. Of course Rose is overrated.
At this point in his career I'd say so. For all the physical gifts he has, he clearly lacks the mental aspect of the game that is needed to thrive at the highest level. The good thing is he is still young and he can learn from this experience. However, it remains to be seen if he will ever develop the killer mentality that is needed to truly be a transcendent player in this league.
This is why I never cared when Kobe shot those airballs in Utah early in his career. The fact that he had the balls and confidence in himself to take those shots is why I love Bryant as a player. His mental approach to the game is unmatched in today's league, and I think as you watch these young superstars like Durant and Rose falter in clutch moments you realize how truly great players rise to the occasion when called upon (Bryant, Ginobili, Lebron, etc.).
MVP was the wrong choice. Lebron had the highest win shares in the league again. Rose was only 5th. Of course Rose is overrated.
That kid should not have been MVP. He was exposed.
So people still don't understand what the MVP means huh?
He is a good player with no help. Nothing more nothing less.
Uh I agree....uh wait did I just post that
Young indeed. Rose is what 3 years in the nba now? Lebron and wade double that. Rose will be back...he just needs to pay his dues much like everyone else.
Did Rose go Westbrook or is that Westbrook went Rose?
Mensa's as Point Guards they ain't. Tom needs an O coordinator and so does Scott Brooks.
I expect Rose to learn a lot from this experience, however, he desperately needs to find a jumpshot.
Lebron was more valuable to the Heat than Rose was to the Bulls.
Rose getting owned in the playoffs helps DOK's argument about PG's tbh.
He needs more than a jumpshoot. He needs to improve his passing, ball-handing, court vision, decision making, and obviously a jumpshot.
I don't know. A lot of this really just has to do with his age and experience. He's so young and has so much ahead of him. Him being awarded the MVP really just doubled the pressure he already had going into the playoffs. He needs to lose some before he can win. As did with Jordan, Lebron, etc.
He's just a kid. He'll bounce back.
The guy practically carried his team to the ECF. Great defensive team yet their offense is ALL Derrick Rose. What a joke of a thread.
What's your trolling angle with this one?
That Paul is the best PG in the league or something
No help? Bulls are the best defensive team in the league, I don't think that's thanks to Rose. Why do people like to underrate defense?
It's not much different than James' Cavs.
No
Because he doesnt have scorers around him, all Miami had to do was collapsing on him
Which explains the turnovers and missed shots
It's the same style, as in the Bulls don't have other players that can create off the dribble, but Boozer,Deng,Noah>> anybody on those Cavs teams, at least IMO..
As for Rose, I still think he deserved MVP, based on the criteria..if it was my own opinion, I would have given it to Howard, but based on the criteria, Rose deserved it..
Its the truth. Lebron is the best player in the league. Of course he's more valuable to his team than Rose. Lebron does everything better than Rose. He's a better PG than Rose. Rose is an undersized SG. A worse version of Iverson.
Lol at Jeff using this topic as a way to throw in a compliment about Kobe.
bulls = one man team, has no business winning mvp...61 wins or not, they got lucky cause raptors and cavs = 8 easy wins, they won 50 games last season, do the maths
Lebron should have been regular season MVP with Howard as number two. Numbers support it.
He'll get better. Be interesting to see who they pair him with moving forward in the bacxkcourt.
