Tim Duncan or David Robinson. Tough call.
I finally watched Schlinder's list and I was just amazed by this man,Oskcar Schindler. The way he gave up all of his riches and risked his life to help save the lives Jews under the Nazi Regime's noses. That was incredible. That has to be one of the greatest deeds I've ever heard of so far.
Ironic that I cry about racism all the time and one of the greatest heroes I believe to be is a Nazi. lol
Who do you believe is the greatest person to you and why?
Tim Duncan or David Robinson. Tough call.
You should look up Irena Sendler.
Me probably. Not probably, definitely.
lol@barely watching Schindler's list..
Yep, that's who I thought of as well.
Hate to go off on a tangent, but one of the things I ponder a lot is whether I would have the courage and capacity to do the right thing under cir stances beyond my understanding. If I lived in Nazi Germany, for example, would I hide my Jewish neighbors in my attic knowing that my family would be killed if we got caught? If I lived in Afghanistan, would I be one of those women who would secretly teach my daughter to read if it meant I could be stoned? I don't know. I really don't know.
Good to see that you dont pretend to know, either. No one does. Unless youve been under fire, in combat, under an oppressive regime, etc, you dont know.
I dont know, either. I hope I would, Im confident I would, but I dont know.
Creepy old man who came up with the "bright" idea to put naked chicks in magazines.

This guy is up there at the top for me.
Gandhi. I know of his teachings of ahimsa, but I don't know the full story about him. I know some people don't like him for reasons these same people have not fully explained to me. The vegetarian, humanitarian, disciplined and spiritual man once said "to think for oneself is a true sign of fearlessness."

Really don't know how people get "blindsided" by anything otherwise.
