I haven't, but yeah. That's a sweet looking car. Don't know about what's under the hood. Can't believe it's made by Hyundai.
Anyone here have one? I test drove one yesterday and I must say...Hyundai has come a long way since the Scoupe. I'm pretty sure it's going to be my next car.

300+ horsepower...and it corners like it's on rails. I took a 55mph S-curve at 85 and it felt like I could have taken it faster. I was very impressed.
With the salesman? Or some other way?... salesman I've had get all nervous when you go above 40mph![]()
Yea. Hyundai has really come a long way in cars. Once our lease is up on the Prius i think we will be looking long and hard at a Hyundai.
He basically tossed me the keys and said see you in a little bit. Believe me...I was surprised too.
Hyundai has definately been putting in work.
I test drove one a few months back at the Red McCombs off of I-10 and was very impressed. Look into APP pricing. It's a special deal they give to "think tank" members (it's free to sign up and anyone can) that gives you a few grand off of MSRP. Not all dealerships will honor it but it wouldn't hurt to look into getting the lower price. What color are you thinking? I hope you're not thinking about that green color.
Good luck.
They are making some gorgeous cars. Ripping off other manufacturer designs left and right (like the grill that reminds you of a Benz) but yeah, there may be a Hyundai in our future and I never thought we'd even consider one.
How are they on reliability/cost of repairs?
That green is awful.
I'll probably go with white or that smoky grey color. I had another car in that grey and I really liked it. I doubt I'll buy one brand new either. I've seen way too many deals ones that are used with low mileage...under 20k miles for around 25k.
Consumer Reports recommended....almost all the Hyundai's are.
a hyundai with 20K miles is worth 25K?.........whut?
A brand new Genesis Coupe 3.8 runs about 31K...so one can expected a low mileage one to run around 25. I'm not in a big hurry to buy, so I'll probably just keep my eyes open for one that someone is trying to get rid of fast. There is a good chance I'll be able to pick one up for closer to 20 if I'm in the right place at the right time.
Keep in mind they are built to compete with the Infiniti G37's(which according to road tests they do a commendable job of doing). You are looking at 37K easy for one of those.
Good point about buying used. A few months ago was a low estimate. When I test drove one there were hardly any used ones on the market.
i have a 2004 hyundai elantra... bought it new back then... back when they were cheap... only $14,000 or a little less. It's been very reliable and trouble free. when I get a new car, may be another Hyundai, but a higher up model.
note to self: don't buy a demo...I took a 55mph S-curve at 85...
Things went a bit faster than expected.
Over the weekend I was poking around online and I found one in Lubbock...2010, one owner, 11k miles, clean Carfax...for 21k. Got on the phone immediately with the internet sales guy and started crunching numbers on my trade in and financing. One thing led to another and I met him today in Weatherford to pick it up. It's easily the nicest car I've ever owned. Pics to come later.
Oh yeah...it still has the factory warranty too. Upon further investigation I found out that Hyundai's factory warranty is 5 years/60k miles. Sweet.
What color is it? I think those are nice cars. Nice purchase!![]()
Not mine...but pretty much the exact car.

That's a sharp looking car![]()

Thanks. Took my boss down the highway in front of my work today. Let's just say she breathed in deeply a couple of times.![]()
