    One of the only problems I have with this is that it
    aims to provide a flexible training tool that should ultimately be cheaper than running similar live exercises.
    The military needs to be doing more, not less, live fire training. But as a tool to compliment other types of training, this should be awesome

    For all the bad things about the MIC, at least it pushes technology forward

    The virtual reality headsets the trainees wear will run from a backpack unit similar to a top of the range gaming laptop, called the ‘Man Wearable Unit’. “While the man wearable units aren’t running on an off-the-shelf Alienware, the internal components themselves are commercial off-the-shelf CPU’s and GPU’s like NVIDIA graphic cards and whatnot,” says West.

    a friend of mine programs games for the military and they use custom gun controllers made in-house. he just recently got back from some thing out in the middle east he had to go to for a while that dealt with his job.
