Yep. Magee moved to San Antonio after Hurricane Katrina. 2013 DT Vincent Taylor of San Antonio Madison did the same as well. He'll also be looking for that LSU offer.
Excellent. I'm glad the Texas staff is taking that approach. Palmer and Hunter are better than Bluiett in my opinion.

Who do you think are the priorities at DT for 2013? Isiah Golden and Justin Manning should be the top 2 targets in my opinion. DT is very deep in 2013, Bo will have some tough decisions to make.
OU picked up commitment #6 yesterday:

BFLT-
It's hard to say because it's so early and you have two guys in A'Shawn Robinson and Darius James who are interchangeable. I do think Stacy Searels wants Robinson all to himself, so I'll list him as an OL for now even though he's a BAMF at DT and the staff may be forced to keep him there. I'd say take your picks based off of these two lists (and these are only the names we currently know about):
Offensive Line
Alex Mayes, Van Alstyne
Kent Perkins, Dallas Lake Highlands
Jake Raulerson, Celina
A'Shawn Robinson, FW Arlington Heights
Ja'Braylin Thomas, Weimar
Josh Thomas, Evangel Christian (Shreveport, LA)
Defensive Line
Isaiah Golden, Elysian Fields
Ben Hughes, Waco University
Darius James, Killeen Harker Heights
Justin Manning, Dallas Kimball
Vincent Taylor, San Antonio Madison
OU got a TE from Florida. I wish Texas did that last year, see O'Leary, Nick.
Harlow is good player, 4 star TEs don't exactly grow on trees especially in the spread offense era.
I love how Harlow to OU was reported by TexAgs with the comment that OU still doesn't have a commitment with an Aggie offer. How is that even relevant with Harlow? Haha.
TFloss, how tall is too tall to play DT? A'Shawn is already 6'4," and Darius James is 6'5." Kent Perkins at 6'5'' is playing some DT this year.
I'm not worried about Kent Perkins choosing OT because he'd come to Texas at any position, but I'm not so sure about Robinson. Agreed, Robinson could be dominant at OT or DT. Even if Searels wants Robinson to himself, I'd like for Texas to give him the option to play offense or defense. Different situation in my opinion than Michael Starts. Starts is a top 200 national player at OT, but at DL he'd be lucky to make the Texas 150. While Robinson could be a top 50 national player on offense or defense.
Raulerson is intriguing. I love his at ude and film; however, Jake must gain good weight. Last time I heard, Raulerson was at 235-240. His weight at J5 will be very interesting. One would think that Raulerson would need to be 260 - 270 by Junior Day 2012 for a Texas offer.
All the names on the OL are studs. Mayes is probably the least impressive and a TCU legacy, I don't think he'll be a priority.
Darius James is playing center this coming season. It'll be interesting to see where Texas recruits him. Depending on who plays what this season, Texas might need a center in 2013 with David Snow graduating.
OL and DT are both very deep again in 2013. Perfect timing for a team that is attempting to rebuild their offensive line. Thanks for the names to watch TFloss.
You got it TFloss.
Sorry for any confusion as there are some conflicting reports out there. The big news of the morning is OL Michael Starts of Waco La Vega will be making his college decision tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. There's no mention if he'll follow through with his plans to attend a Texas Tech camp this weekend, but the Red Raiders appear to be the favorite at this time. Baylor could be the dark horse here. Starts is a guy who's always been all over the map with his decisions, so I wouldn't be surprised by anything. He was still talking about attending one of Texas' summer camps a few days ago, so it's possible that Stacy Searels inviting other OLs to campus has given him the nudge he needs to make a decision in favor of the Longhorns. However, he's likely going to make a decision that will allow him to play defense at the college level.
Seaver Myers and Greg Brantley are high fiving each other right now.
I saw a guy ask about this over at Recruitocosm the other day. The UT staff is still looking at JUCO DE Denico Autry of East Mississippi CC. As a matter of fact, Bo Davis called Autry's defensive coordinator, William Jones, last week to ask about his grades and if interest was still there. Jones mentioned that he and Autry "gravitate" towards Davis because of the type of person he is. Turns out Jones and Davis have been friends for a while. Jones also went on to say that the ball is in Texas' court when it comes to Autry. The Longhorns will continue to be one of the leading candidates for his services should they decide to stay in the race through the end of the year. Autry still plans on making an official visit to Austin this fall.
A few early photos of some of the 2011 guys checking in (more will be added later):

TFloss where does Autry fall on the Texas priority list? I'd put Autry right up there with Torshiro Davis and Noah Spence.
Do you think Danielle Hunter will be offered at J5? I could definitely get behind that.
You probably know more than me on that one, Bill. Admittedly I'm not very good when it comes saying this guy should play this position or that one. I think the average NFL DT is around 6'3". Not sure what the rule of thumb is in college other than you obviously want tall, long OTs to protect your QB and that's why a lot of DTs are moved to the other side of the ball if they keep growing. I think guys like Robinson and James will be sorted out once they get to campus based on needs at the time. It's clear that both Davis and Searels are doing their best to bolster UT's play in the trenches.
My gut instinct is he's not a priority because of Mack Brown's JUCO policy, but it's hard to deny UT's interest in this guy. It may speak to how Davis feels about the depth on the DL right now. Autry is an interesting prospect to me not only because he's one of the top JUCO players in the nation, but I also wonder where he'll fall when it comes to scholarship numbers. If he doesn't technically count towards the 2012 class, the staff may be able to make the numbers work while still pursuing younger guys like Torshiro and Spence.
As far as DE Danielle Hunter and DE Jamal Palmer, 24/7 Hook 'Em thinks it's realistic that one of those guys gets offered at J5 or some time this summer. I prefer Hunter because I think he's got a lot of room to grow both physcially and technically.
Agreed Texas appears interested in Autry. If Mack is still dead set against taking JUCO players, I don't think Bo Davis or Manny Diaz would have continuing contact with Autry. Mack has given the new coaches a lot more freedom, but something as big as Texas recruiting a JUCO would have to be done with Mack's knowledge and approval in my opinion. I think Autry would play immediately at Texas, perhaps a two or even one year rental.
There's a lot to like with Danielle Hunter. Good frame, long arms, athleticism and the late bloomer tag. Lock up Hunter, and add the Torshiro Davis or Noah Spence gravy later.
I'd love to hear what Brown has been telling Davis and Diaz with regards to Autry as both have been calling his coach for quite some time now and Davis already made two trips to his school. Seems a bit silly if his recruitment was simply all for naught.
Couple more quick things on the upcoming camps...
*Baylor commit OL Tre'Von Armstead of Port Arthur Memorial will be attending Texas' summer camp on June 12th. The staff wanted him in Austin for June 5th to evaluate him alongside the other OL candidates, but they'll take it. Armstead was likely the leader for that next OL offer before he committed to the Bears (and that could still be the case).
*2013 WR Dannon Cavil (nephew of former Texas WR Kwame Cavil) of Austin Lake Travis will be in Austin for J5.
*S Leo Thomas of San Antonio Sam Houston will not be in attendance this weekend. This probably means DT Javonte Magee is a no-go as well as he relies on other folks for transporatation.
*DE Denzel Devall of Bastrop, LA is another guy to scratch off the list for this weekend. Turns out he has a summer job as a lifeguard and he'll be busy with that (not a joke). His trip to College Station was also cancelled.
The latest on DB Geno Smith of Atlanta, GA has him in Austin for an unofficial visit during the month of July.

Some thoughts:
Starts making his decision now, especially before J5 helps Texas. Excellent news on Armstead attending J12. I continue to like Armstead the best out of the in state Plan B options.
In my opinion the Starts back up options, by priority:
1) DJ Reader (if Searels projects Reader as a college OT)
2) Tre-von Armstead
3) Greg Brantley
4) Richard "Rico Suave" Webb II
5) Seaver Myers
Quick breakdown based on the Youtube film:
Man crushing big time on DJ Reader, could be dominant wherever he plays in college. Raw athleticism, foot speed, physical nasty, agile. All that good stuff. Reader was playing a lot of OT in the film and dominating, not sure why he's listed as an OG.
Armstead can really move and shows excellent athleticism. Armstead is a LT all the way, nice early snag for Bible Aggie. Briles please take another job, soon.
Brantley has very good film. I have no idea why Gerry H is down on Brantley, good athleticism and plenty physical. There's a bit of drop off from Brantley to Webb.
Webb is huge and a mauler, but a bit slow. If Webb improves his foot speed and get his weight down, he could develop into a good right tackle. Not sure why Tech hasn't given Rico a call, Webb is the type of tackle Tech has taken in the Leach / Tubbs era.
The drop off after Webb is dramatic, think Bobby De Niro in Deer Hunter dramatic. Myers looks slow, unathletic and I hate to drop the FAT bomb, but I will. Myers is built like The Woodland's Chad Lindsay aka That Fat Kid from The Woodlands.
Roos and Meador are interior guys all the way. No thanks, this year.
I like Malcolm's room, is that in Jester?

I believe all the freshman football players live in Jester. I'm pretty sure they live in the West Tower, but please don't quote me on that.
I'm not sure what the living off campus rules are, but Texas players have the option of living on campus throughout their eligibility.
*DB Bryson Echols of DeSoto will be attending the June 12th camp, not J5.
*DE Danielle Hunter of Katy Morton Ranch said he will not be attending J5. He does have plans to make trips to Austin and Baton Rouge this summer for unofficials.
*Another OL name to file away is Kyle Fuller of Wylie. I've read some good reviews on this guy in the past couple of weeks, but I wasn't sure if Texas was evaluating him or not. Turns out the staff visited his high school on more than one occasion this spring and he does have an invite to J5. No word if he'll attend.
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/footbal...-Fuller-122638
More changes...good news and bad news. DE Torshiro Davis of Shreveport, LA won't be able to make J5 and work out with the current UT commitments and other prospects, but he'll be arriving in Austin on Monday and will be spending at least a day and half on campus. It sucks that he won't be able to bond a little bit with the 2012 guys, but he'll definitely get more one-on-one time with the coaching staff and additional time to see the campus, facilities, dorms, etc.
