    that's right. Apple sucks . My 3G phone has slowed down to a miserable crawl after the OS 4.2 update. It is a laughable little now.

    Yesterday I even jailbroke it and disabled some things, still the OS 4.2 turns these phones into paperweights. It takes me 2 - 3 minutes to even look up something online or download an app. (not to mention the jailbreaking process broke my computer's USB ports)

    I might have to downgrade to OS 3 and then what? most newer apps won't even work.

    Apple is a ing joke. Am I gonna get the next Iphone. no.

    Android, here I come. Not to say Android is much better at this aspect but this is for different reasons, Android has to support thousands of phone models. Apple? 4 goddam phone models!

    Thanks Steve Jobs. How about why should I get a new phone if mine is working perfectly fine. It has the adequate hardware to still be a good phone. A good phone should last at least 5 years or more, especially if there is nothing wrong with the hardware. if nothing is wrong with the hardwre a phone should last forever and it's software should be supported by the manufacturer.

    Why do you have to force me to buy a new phone from your filthy rich bald ass?

    no. Ppl complained about 4.0 or 4.1 and apple recommended 4.2. That is what I read. But it doesn't help.

    You are right; I forgot about that

    When I got my ip4, I gave my 3G to my father

    He upgraded it to 4.0 or 4.1, even though I told him not to, then 4.2 was supposed to fix the problems
    I also did a load of jailbreaks, had to change the baseband and stuff

    A good beat up

    It sure can.

    The first time I rooted my Evo, it disabled the HDMI port on the phone. Only temporarily though, so "break" is a bit of an ambiguous term here, especially since you put it in quotes.

    I wouldn't recommend iOS 4 for anything lower than a 3GS. I'd have done research before actually doing it. I don't believe you can undo iOS 4 on your phone, or so I read when other people wrote on the interwebz that iOS 4 drags their sub 3GS model way down.

    Hater. Just in case you were thinking about it, I wouldn't try to install win7 on a single core chip. Anything above a PIII should work.

    Viva with the bads.

    A computer does not automatically push the update of windows 7 to your old pc running windows 98.

    It did on mine. After a pc reboot even my mouse did not work. I had to use my keyboard to navigate to my device manager and disable/enable each USB port. Now I have to do this after every reboot

    Win98=iOS 3
    Win7=iOS 4

    Notice how there's no .1 or .2 or .3 after I typed win7. You have a 3G, which means most likely you paid $10 for iOS 4. Oh, and you can switch your iPhone to Manually update. Oh, and there's also a Cancel button.

    "i also have a problem with my iphone 3g after i upgraded it to iSO 4...i feel so bad when after this, my phone crushed...before, i am not experiencing a lag when my operation system was 3.1.5...but everything just caused me so much stress...i was expecting there could be a way apple company could help their customers who at first very impressed on how apple's iphones change the trend in cellphones...they cannot just say that because it's us who chose to upgrade our iphone 3gs to a better operation we are the ones who are to be held liable in what they have offered to be a better operations for our iphone 3gs....i think apple should be aware that customer's feedback is the thing that they based if the products they offer is at its quality...its a very bad reason that upgrading is customer's sole decision and held liable if something happened wrong...come on!!!! THE REASON WHY WE UPGRADED OUR IPHONE 3GS IS BECAUSE WE ARE RELYING WITH YOUR EXPERTISE ESPECIALLY IT IS YOU WHO KNOWS WELL ABOUT APPLE'S PRODUCTS....SO NEVER EXPECT US TO DECIDE ON THINGS THAT WE BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE EXPERT WITH....UPGRADING MEANS OFFERING A BETTER USAGE NOT A DOWNGRADED OPERATION!!!!DON'T EXPECT US TO MAKE A WAY OF BRINGING IT BACK TO HOW IT WAS YOU SHOULD TAKE THE WAY OF HELPING US MAKING IT OK AGAIN....."

    It was a stupid thing to do plain and simple. Shouldn't have done it. I have a friend who has a 3G still running iOS 3. It works fine for him.

    No, but if you ran Windows 7 on minimum HW (1ghz, 1gb of RAM, 16GB of space), I bet it would run like , too.

    Not saying it doesn't suck....just how technology goes. SW progresses much faster than HW can keep up with.

    How was a regular user supposed to know an OS upgrade would make his/her phone useless? Nostradamus?
