You know Apple is slipping when, after years of proclaiming it's extreme superiority to anything non-Steve Jobs-based, Apple users are using Microsoft's operating system as a basis of comparison.
Also: 3 years != 12 years. There's just no way you can make that comparison. I had a top of the line computer in 2000 with a 1 Ghz PIII and 256mb of RAM. That was the
fastest chip you could buy, because they just broke the 1Ghz barrier. So again, the comparison is ridiculous. The differences between a modern day computer and a PIII are
much greater than those between an iPhone 3G and an iPhone4.
You... do realize that Honeycomb is more efficiently designed than Eclair, and thus will likely run as well on a Hero as 2.1 does, right? I mean, that's the argument you're attempting to make, right? People are using their Nooks with ~2 year old procs in them and Honeycomb is just fine. I'm betting a Hero wouldn't struggle to run 3.0.
