Although I don't like either team, thus don't really have a rooting interest, that was one impressive victory by the Mavs. They've morphed into the comeback kids, causing other teams to choke.

At least we have a series now. World of difference between 2-0 and 1-1. Anybody's series. Next game is the crucial one. In the 2-3-2 format in which a series started out 1-1, the championship has always gone to the game 3 winner.

The importance of going up 2-1 cannot be overstated. In that position, there's no risk of falling behind 3-1, which means you'd need to win three in a row.

I know we lost game two one time to NJ! That had me concerned going there for three! THANK GOD we pulled out two there! Going on the road 1-1 is flat out SCARY! PERIOD!

I assume the 2-3-2 format has been around for 12 years AND it's reference to 11 times the teams spit .....yadda yadda Game 3 is crucial

Not even Nostrodamus could have seen all of the above. The Mavs have taken the Spurs decade plus reputation of "Never counting them out" and compacted it into 2 months. Brilliantly I may add.

Only the Mavs can beat themselves now after that win last night, and they won't. It's their last shot and they won't be denied. Miami must wait for another chance.
