why Duncan though?

Everyone has been hating on Kobe and LeBron as of late (myself included), but everyone tends to forget about the classic Spurs team led by Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili that dominated the finals in 2007. Why do some of you give Tim Duncan a free pass for riding their coattails? This of course is not to say that Timmy D didn't play well because he did, but the dude was nothing more than a 3rd and 4th option on a team that won the finals that year 100% due to Parker, Ginobili, and Bowen's defense.

son we must speak the facts about all star players whenever they ride the coattails of others success. its nothing personal against Duncan, after all the dude has two legit rings to be proud of knowing that he was the man in those series (03 and 05), but he had as much to do with the Spurs 07 championship as any other role player on that team did. he was not the Batman, nor the Robin, but the Catwoman in 07. that is all
I'm not entirely sure the Catwoman analogy works here. I mean, I know what you're going for, but I think an Iron Man/Captain America/Thor analogy, or even a Batman/Nightwing/any of the other Robins would've made more sense.

Tbh, after those two games the series was over and Tim was just trying to pass the torch to Manu/Parker so he figured he would see if the could close it out, IMHO. Tbh, IMHO, if Cavs decided to win a game Tim would have said "Nuh uh, I don't lose finals it's just not something I do" and put the team on his back, IMHO.
