I'm sure most of those games were ports using the lowest common denominator. I wanna see some real built from the ground up.
I wanna see more third party developers jump on this (looking at Rockstar and 2K games).

I can see this system being sold for $349.
Seems like every third party game is going to be a late ps3/360 port..
This year's press conferences just leave me with the feeling that the video game industry is, officially, no longer for gamers.
Fairly dissapointed in new Nintendo Console, TBH. Its going to have to be much better to make people leave PS3/360 and its not. Sure, something they build from the ground up will look better than what we saw today but thats going to take time and MS and Sony's Next Gens aren't THAT far off either.
More impressed with the Vita (even by the name which is ing amazing. How do name a system worse than Vita???!?!).
The control doesn't even have analog sticks, it uses circle pads instead.. fail
We've reached the point of diminishing returns in terms of graphics from one generation to the next generation. For example, the jump was big from PSX to PS2 (3D graphics). Then from PS2 to PS3 the jump wasn't as big yet jagged edges became smoother and worlds became bigger. Now from PS3 to PS4, sure things are going to be better but it won't be such a big WOW factor as we've seen in the past. I'm guessing the WiiU is like around a PS3 1/2 at the most while we wait for Sony and Microsoft to bring out their systems.
The graphics curve is leveling out, Nintendo knows this. That's why they're taking another approach and trying to innovate using the controllers.
BTW this E3 was a total fest. First person shooters galore. How many ing military shooters do we need in the world?
I saw Ken Levine being interviewed during the WiiU 3rd-party developers jerk fest. If Bioshock Infinite comes out for that system, I would seriously consider getting it. As it is right now though, I'm in the meh camp.
I say that owning all consoles. it, I'll probably get it either way. I love new hardware.
Here's the console

People still buy them so they'll keep shoveling them out until they don't sell. I was considering buying a PS3, but after watching E3, I don't think I will. I can play the same damn games with better graphics on my PC. Only games I found interesting but that I can't play on PC are Rayman Origins and Twisted Metal.
Aw, I wanted to see Hulk Hogan hit that guy with a chair.
Reggie's ass is being nailed to the tree of woe.
it didn't look very good because it's ing Xbox360 gameplay
The PC version will be far superior visually
And maxipad is right, whatever they up graphically/gameplay-wise will get fixed by the modding community
, there's still a pretty big community updating Morrowind for the PC
The dragons are what will be the most badass thing about skyrim. I really liked how he got help fighting it from a random nearby guard in the gameplay demo. This should present interesting choices in how/if you should fight them since their appearance is random
For instance, maybe you're by yourself in the woods when one approaches. You're not strong enough to take him on yet so you run and hide. Or, at the same level, you're nearby other NPCs when it attacks. This allows you to possibly defeat it since you have help.
60,000 lines of dialogue. 300+ hours of gameplay. Dragons. Oh yeah, and Dragons. Can't ing wait
Nice Bieber t-shirt.
The other game I was really happy to see is Farcry3. I liked FC2 despite it's shortcomings, especially the open world gameplay. Looks like they've addressed some concerns about the second one by adding fast-travel and more RPG elements.
Vita is a terrible name, but it was bested by Wii U. Dreamcast, xbox, playstation, wii, kinect...also terrible names. All three press conferences end in disappointment. Nice to see that Nintendo has finally caught up to the visual standard of 2005 and that they've taken their stupid game boy advance / gamecube connectivity idea to the next level of re ed.
Wii U....
its like an ipad, ds, and wii had an impossible threesome and spat up dat controller...
for hardcore gamers too...
sons, this e3 is sucking donkey
Probz getting a Vita. Skyrim will make everything worth it.
Should I get a ps3 sonz?
lol E3 2011
lol Pee U
lol Nintendo
Hot damn, the Wii U has a ing powerful processor. Once developers get to play around and see how freaking powerful this thing is, it's going to on the PS3 and 360.

Nintendo's new console, the Wii U, was finally unveiled to the world today at E3 2011, and we got a glimpse of its graphical prowess at the company's keynote. Details were scarce about the IBM silicon Nintendo's new HD powerhouse was packing, but we did some digging to get a little more info. IBM tells us that within the Wii U there's a 45nm custom chip with "a lot" of embedded DRAM (shown above). It's a silicon on insulator design and packs the same processor technology found in Watson, the supercomputer that bested a couple of meatbags on Jeopardy awhile back. Unfortunately, IBM wouldn't give us the chip's clock speeds, but if it's good enough to smoke Ken Jennings on national TV, we imagine it'll do alright against its compe ion from Sony and Microsoft.
