I agree, it's been a great year. Had Dirk not been injured in the winter the Mavs probably would have had the best regualr season record, and Dirk would have won the NBA MVP. That usually goes to the best player on the team with the best record. One more win and he gets finals MVP, and a LOB.

True..every truly great player, on that level, has won MVP and Finals MVP in the same season..it would have been fitting for Dirk to join that level..
