This is probably one of the hottest tablets out there. If you can find one (good luck) I would probably recommend it based on what I have read. I am still happy with my NC, but this is a really great idea which was (apparently) executed quite well.

BTW, this is all predicated on the understanding that you have an actual need that it would fill.

I got it 2 weeks ago. Love it. If you are set on Android this is the one to get. For the price $400, nothing can touch it.

I used nowinstock.net to find one. And make sure you don't pay more than $400.

As much as I read about all of these devices (apple, android, etc) and their light bleeding I have to think that either I have been lucky, or don't know what it is.

This, but not for the reasons you'd think. You see, you have an android phone, so if you're like me, why get more of the same.

I have an iPhone 4, so if I were to get a tablet, I don't want an iPad, I want an Android tablet because an iPad is just more of the same. My phone can do what an iPad can do, so why double up on that (other than the cloud sharing of apps, but eh)?

If you have your heart set on Android, then go Android. If you're like me, then go with another OS (maybe Blackberry) and see what that can do.

    Which reminds me. Two questions.

    1) I heard the Nook Color rooted was a bit choppy at first. Has it improved in performance with updates yet (this is what I want to do if the root is smooth)?

    2) Does anyone know anything about the Blackberry tablet? I'm just curious as to how the OS is and how well it runs.

I think it's a hardware thing with the bleeding. My friend has an Evo and it had that problem, while another friend with an Evo didn't have the problem. Of course, the first friend with the problem got his Evo when it came out, while the second friend had to wait for his contract to end, so it could be something that was fixed in later models.
