I actually thought AI and Melo will beat the Spurs in 07 after they both scored 30 in game 1.
AI just got old....pass.
He was great in the Olympics, and he's proven over and over again that he's a team player all the way. I approve this signing!![]()

half of the spurs are retiring this year can they pick him up
I never understood the hate for A.I. Dude is tough as nails, a prolific scorer and is easily a future hall of famer imo. One of my favorite players. Whether or not he would be good for the Spurs (or if his career is over) is irrelevant to his legacy. A.I. is a badass.
Woah... lets not get out of hand here...
Yup.. we better trade him faster.
Get him, It's not like the team will do any better without him.
??? Yes they will.
AI was always a super quick dude who could finish at the rim, but who couldn't shoot well and was reluctant to pass. He's now 36 and no longer super quick. That leaves him as a guy who doesn't shoot well, and is reluctant to pass. At this point, AI is a MUCH WORSE option than Neal, and would likely chafe at sitting behind him.
The chances for the Spur to win a championship in 2012 will not get better or worst if they get AI, even if he rides the pine the whole season. There are more pressing issues that the Spurs need to tackle and address in order to get better.
Exactly. I'm not advocating him, in fact just the opposite, and I disagree that SA's chances won't get worse if he rides the pine. He's been pretty corrosive on teams where he didn't feel he was getting his due in minutes.
