He's spent his entire life hearing he could do no wrong. Since he starting playing basketball, everyone has blown him. He doesn't know how to handle criticism. He's not used to being told he was the weak link.

As far as the media was concerned, he was always given the benefit of the doubt when he failed. He blamed his teammates and the media blamed his teammates. He blamed Dan Gilbert and the media did the same. His biggest mistake was when he started blaming the media for his failures. The same people who had built him up since he was 12.
