When Nash signed his extension and Amare was still on the roster, you don't think that maybe Nash valued the idea of trying one more time to win a le in a Phoenix uniform over ring chasing like Malone and Payton?
He had a year left on his contract when he signed the extension. He woulda been under contract through the 2009-2010 regardless.

You obviously follow the Suns more closely than I do, but I think he has real loyalty to the franchise and it would mean more to him to win a le with the team that drafted him and he achieved his greatest success and in front of fans who love him, as opposed to maybe playing 20-25 minutes a night as a role player on another team? His contract is up after this upcoming season, so he still has time to ring chase.
If it meant anything for him to win a le with the Suns, he woulda done everything in his power to force Sarver's hand resigning Amare. He did anything BUT that.

Nash is loyal to a city that has embraced him, how can you hold that against him?

He's loyal to an owner who's turned him into a cash cow. There's nothing entertaining about what he's let Sarver turn the team into.

If he was loyal to Suns fans and gave two s about them, he woulda told Sarver either resign Amare or he's demanding a trade.

Could ST's #1 Jew actually make a serious post about his 3 favorite point guards complete with analysis/explanation. I think that would be the goods.

Nash coming off the bench would make that team unbelievably loaded. Nash is still a starter and for a couple more seasons too

Goran "White Magic" Dragic - If you had been around longer, you'd know
Derek Fisher - knows the role a PG should have and has 5 rings because of it
Jason Kidd - Played a semi-major role on a championship team as a PG who didn't dominate the ball

Well first of, he has to figure out a way to get out of there which I am not sure Sarver will grant him.

Him on the Mavs would be storybook ending, but unless we fail to resign Barea, I don't know how he fits in the team.

The logical destination is of course...................................... Miami! Shoot me now!

Idk why everyone thinks Nash wants to leave Phoenix. He's more than happy dominating the ball, surrounded by a team of role players, on a team where the 8th seed is considered a championship. He's said so.

This is sadly true. Yes there is a distinct line between doing everything possible to get a ring & ring chasing but you feel less of a guy if he just fades into retirement missing the playoffs

Especially when the guy already played on another team

I don't know. He did break down crying in the 2010 WCF. He cares about winning. Maybe he's just too classy to demand a trade

1 year left at 11 mil on his Phoenix contract.
Would he take less/would Phx consider buying him out?

If the answer is yes/yes, where can Nash go to le?

    Heat?
    Mavs?
    Fakers?
Spurs? (too idiotic to get a trade Tony Parker for a good big).

straight to ing ...steroid using ass....

for all the crying he did after the 2010 WCF, he forgot about it pretty quickly and approved of Sarver tearing the 2010 roster apart.

So far, Dirk resulted better than Nash. The Mavs have good PG's and they won't make big changes for the next season.

Nash had bad luck, the Spurs were always better than the Suns, and in 2007 Amare and Diaw made a big mistake jumping to the court. When the Suns finally passed the Spurs in 2010, Nash and the Suns were so emotionally drained that the Suns were defeated by the Lakers in a serie they could have won.

Yeah it had nothing to do with the fact that the Lakers were just a better team

tbh that was a really really close series. If it wasn't for J-Rich's brain fart it would have gone seven. The Spurs series had nothing to do with how they played though.

Being 2:2, in the pivotal game 5 in LA, the Lakers won 103:101. Nash missed some FT's, a 3 here or there, a jumper that goes in, and the Suns could have won that game.

A team that wins game 5 after 2:2, typically always win the series.

I think it had something to do because it was so important for the Suns to pass the Spurs, they celebrated as if it was the championship. Nash was even crying.

tbh beating the Spurs is like most team's Super Bowl/World Cup imo Usually the city throws them a parade when they return from SA before the next series. I heard like 90,000 Suns waited at the airport when Phoenix returned from ville. TV ratings usually drop like 90% in their games after that as well.

the point is, whenever nash's game drops just a bit, he will become totally useless faster than other players because he is a defensive liability.
JJB was also a defensive liability the past years but he contributed big in at least 3 of the 6 games against heat imho. peja also looked done in NO however after being waived he joined dem mavs and also contributed big on their championship run. nash ain't the MVP anymore but he's still a fine role player imho.
