Time to get a Mallett jersey, imo...hopefully Beantown doesn't have a blow problem.
Was debating between Mayo and McCourty actually. Or just going back in time and getting a Bruschi one so I can be like every other white Patriots fan.

Sandy Alomar for us. He was incredible that year. 30-game hitting streak, game-winning HR in the All-Star Game (at Jacobs Field), home run off Mariano Rivera that turned the series around in the ALDS against the Yankees, and hit .360 in the World Series.

Strange thing was the Indians only won 86 games that year. They weren't supposed to be anywhere near the World Series and wound up two outs away from winning it all.
I think they were both WC teams iirc. O's, Indians, Yankees, and some other team...maybe Seattle

EDIT: Nah, they couldn't of been WC with O's and Yanks in there...brain fart.

If you're gonna go former player, go with Troy Brown. Mr. Everything for that dynasty.

Good call. I ing loved Troy Brown. , you could rename the whole team the New England Browns and I wouldn't care. At least then a team named the Browns might have an actual shot at a championship.

Tribe beat the Yankees in the ALDS and the Orioles in the ALCS. The networks were not pleased.

Most of my family (from MD) was pissed about the O's series. I think my Pops still hates Sandy Alomar to this day

You know, Ln, when I was a younger man it was no big thing for the Browns to go into Foxboro and take a chunk out of the Pats' hides.

Matter of fact, Belichick's first win as a head coach was in Foxboro, when his Browns shut down Hugh Millen, Leonard Russell and the rest of the "high-powered" Pats of McPherson.

Ha! Yeah, Pats sucked pretty hardcore then. Robert Kraft really turned our franchise around in a huge way.

I feel bad for Cleveland, you guys need a miracle story in the worst way. Maybe the Indians this year?

A Robinson Jersey back in the mid-90's.

A few years later, I fell victim to the "personalized jersey" craze...that no one else seemed to be swept up in. Unfortunately, wearing it around school was seen as either lame by my small number of close friends, or confusing as all when the majority of the school (that had no idea who I was, or, much less, what my last name was) would constantly ask "Who's [my last name]? Is he new?"

That convo always resulted in my stupid explanation, their awkward chuckle, and my walk of shame back to class.

The only hooping I do these days is throwing a cast net unless you have a PS3.

I will be staying at the Peabody in a couple months though.
