I think Kevin Martin might be taking off for a different team this year

He should, no use in having him here without a damn center. No doubt Morey's stature has been overrated and pumped up by the fans, and himself as well. He has yet to prove himself

From what I've seen Morey has a giant ego.

Why? Because Yao got injured (I'm sure Morey would have gone a different direction, but Les loves the money Yao brings). Because Bosh had already made plans to join Wade and LeBron in Miami? Ron Artest trade was good. Scola trade was good. Courtney Lee trade was good. Trading Alston for Lowry was good. He owned on the McGrady trade. Picking up Landry and Brooks late in the first was good. Selecting Budinger in the second was also good. Only question mark really is the Terrence Williams trade, but even then, T-Will only played 84 minutes this season and we all know Coach Adelman wasn't going to play him.

Curious to see why Morey still has to prove himself. He has already had plenty of brilliant moves.

Terrence Williams trade, not keeping Nicolas Batum, selecting Budinger. All of his talk of acquiring a star by trade is garbage until he actually does it. He failed in his attempts at Bosh AND Carmelo with all of his talks of assets that can bring in a star. Sorry, but any GM who is infatuated with Ricky Rubio should be demoted to cameraman

Oh, and that Trevor Ariza signing would make it even worse if we didn't get Lee back.

More pluses than minuses it seems IMO.

Don't know what the hate for Budinger is though. He has shown much improvement this season, especially on defense (after the Battier trade) tbh. Glad we have him. Look at the players who were drafted around him. You'd rather have them? As far as Batum goes, you win some, you lose some.

Budinger showed improvement defensively, that doesn't mean he'll progress anymore. On offense, all he does is settle for three's. I'd like more two way players. Morey AND Les talked a while back about being predatory on teams who were financially strapped. Obviously it was just ALL talk. Also, there's a reason no one wants to come to Houston, and his name starts and ends with Daryl Morey

They need to decide if they're going to tank or not. Enough of this barely miss the playoffs and get the last lottery pick bull . If they tank, then trade Martin and Scola. If not, then make something happen instead of getting more role players

Let's see how this draft goes. Maybe they can do something with all the picks they have this year and move up. I just wish this draft class didn't suck so bad. Next year is going to be so much better.

Les Alexander knew what Yao's foot problems were before he drafted him, and he did it anyway. Yao was done A LONG time ago, now we don't have this hanging over our head anymore. He retires, we move on. Build through the draft
    Yup. + 10

And DD isn't stupid, he's better than most of the re ed posters but that was a dumb post to make.

its the indecisiveness. WTF does morey want? We were supposed to be rebuilding after the playoffs with the lakers.

Now he comes out and says no , we weren't rebuilding, we will rebuild now.

The he says the rockets will deff be a top playoff team next year.

The guy is a ing politician at best. He needs to shut his ing mouth and turn words to action.

All the talk of a star.

THe rockets REFUSE to pay the league average for the player's salary, they're only willing to pay below!

Sorry but nobody is going to come to this team, and its been evident for a LONG time, unless something up front changes.

Which one? The one that would have shipped his lazy ass years ago to Detroit?

Or the one he picked up average talented player after wasting years with McGrady still on the roster?

In hindsight, that would have been a good trade for us, but who knew McGrady would quit like he did during the 2008/09 season. But the second trade was fine also. We got draft picks and Kevin Martin. Can do without the scrub Jordan Hill though.

Like I said, more pluses than minuses for Morey. There are always going to be moves that a GM "should have" done, or moves the GM should not have done.

Morey's problem is he keeps talking publicly about pulling off something like Boston did in 08. Yet to see any single move of that caliber

Yao is done. Until the Rockets stop chasing this bull pipedream that he's magically gonna get healthy and his foot won't snap in half they aren't going anywhere. They need to focus on getting a premier player and building around him, the days of Houston being Yao's team are over. It's time to rebuild.

They know he's done. He knows he's done. His ankle has only 30% of the strength it used to have. That's why THIS draft, Dork Elvis has his job on the line
