I dare you to make at least one prognostication about a world event that will happen between now and June 2012....just one.....common...
    common?

what will happen to the price of gas?
I'll say that the average price per gallon at the pumps next June will be less than $2.99.

    will the commodity bubble bust?
    before June 2012?

    no

who will win the GOP nomination?
    Rick Perry

will the drought continue in SA? How much longer?
I predict there will be rain before June 2012

    ....like I said, no vision.
In what ways did you show leadership through your vision(s) from 2005?

And I'm changing my mind on the Perry thing....I think the dude might wield the big hammer if he chose to get into the race. He's a liar par excellence, which is apparently part of a critical skill set in today's politics.

Where's the vision? ....it's too easy to kick back and pooh-pooh over other people ideas...

I don't "pooh-pooh" () your ideas for any other reason than I think you are absolutely delusional in the sense that you think posting here somehow matters to society.

And please don't ever make me type "pooh-pooh" again.

Gas will stay above $3 for the next year. In June 2012 we'll be closer to $4/gal than $3.

No commodity bubble bust within the next year.

Rick Perry will get the GOP nomination.

SA will get more rain between June 2011-June 2012 than it did June 2010-June 2011.

Wait, we're getting too many visionary leaders here. How do I choose whom to follow?

Present your best case. I'll make my decision soon.

But throwing against the wall is one of this forum's greatest pastimes
Darn tootin'. The person with the biggest bucket wins.

Or maybe has a Japanese scientist chasing them, saying "medium rare!"

Prognostication has a lot to do with politics....if you don't have a visionary leader that can put things together, read the tea leaves so to say, instead of always going with the status-quo, a favorite to many of the current forum posters today, things will never get better...

...that's why I'm not entirely impressed with this new batch of thread starters....except for RG and at times....

Where's the vision? ....it's too easy to kick back and pooh-pooh over other people ideas...

(aka...chumpy and blakey, Mannyislost and Jsmith...)
I know I am doing something right when people on both ends of the spectrum can agree with me at least some of the time.

Otherwise, I might have to question my moderate/centrist cred.

Wow. Over the years I've read a lot of stupid in here and sat idly by and laughed to . myself, but this is ing too much. Dude is flat out WRONG on everything except predicting a hurricane would hit a Galveston or New Orleans (way to go out on a limb and suggest a town bordering the sea could get hit by a hurricane ) and then tries to come in and twist his predictions and what they entail to make it seem like he was right.

That was awesome. Nice job on the 6 year bump Manny.

When I see many of my friends from HS, many of them were smarter than me, had more potential than me, certainly better looking than me.....it's difficult to measure success from afar, but I have to say, I have accomplished and am accomplishing a lot in my life while others didn't...some had misfortune, that's for sure...but the way I see it, many just lacked vision...

Judging by the way NBA Dan over values his presence here (LOL @ the thought that he brings hits to this site) I would be shocked if he wasn't doing the same with his life. Every time he talks about how great a mathematician he is I laugh considering how bad he is with data (lol Galveston destroyed in 2005).
