Here's another video of the same event. Intense straight line winds of 75+.
Arcus clouds are cool. The above isn't the original video, though. This is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKI2Atj08Xk
The comments are ing hilarious from the one HLLFB50 posted. Gems like these:my opinion is that this is either a tunnel for government ufos,or even alien ufos to be hidden while still being able to get to its destination but thats just my opinion
could be a cloaked mothership!
yeah,i think it has something to do with either alien or government aircraft,it might be used as a tunnel to get from one destination to another
Usually HAARP related events have bright colored lights, kind of like the aurora up in Alaska..... That is a sign they are messing with the Ionosphere..
it may soundd crazy but i believe HAARP is creating a cloud tunnel to either alien or government ufos, most liekly secret government aircraft but still, until they figure out why and how its formed im sticking by my opinion,![]()

And before anyone comes in yelling HAARP! They're formed by outflow from thunderstorms
Looks very gravity wavish.
Finally got a chance to watch the video. No way thats is outflow related. Its either a cold front or a "sea breeze" boundry coming off that lake. They could definitely form on an outflow but I'd imagine any type of boundary line could do it.
I always thought it was outflow related, guess I was wrong. Better read up some more

A roll cloud is a low, horizontal, tube-shaped, and relatively rare type of arcus cloud. They differ from shelf clouds by being completely detached from other cloud features. Roll clouds usually appear to be "rolling" about a horizontal axis. They can be described as a solitary wave or a soliton, which is a wave that has a single crest and moves without changing speed or shape. One of the most famous frequent occurrences is the Morning Glory cloud in Queensland, Australia. One of the main causes of the Morning Glory cloud is the mesoscale circulations associated with sea breezes that develop over the Cape York peninsula and the Gulf of Carpentaria. However similar features can be created by downdrafts from thunderstorms and are not exclusively associated with coastal regions.
Coastal roll clouds have been seen over California, the English Channel, Shetland Islands, Lithuania, Eastern Russia, other maritime regions of Australia, off the Mexican coast in the Sea of Cortez, Uruguay, in the Canadian provinces of Nova Scotia and Ontario and Campos dos Goytacazes and Coronel Vivida bay in Brazil.
Well, of course Manny is right. I had a Roll (Arcus-type) cloud mixed up with a shelf (Arcus-type) cloud.
At least I had the Arcus part right![]()

http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/full_loop.php
been busy all day and hadn't looked at the weather in the plains. That's an incredible line. wow
apparently there were quite a few tornado reports in Nebraska today
gonna go try and find my first hook![]()
Some good video out there from today
Of note in this video: TIV2 driving right into the outer circulation in the distance. Awesome
According to FB, Reed and D2 got an intercept as well. Storm chasers is going to be epic this fall, ing epic.
Yesterday will probably be the last big tornado event. Means it's time for Hurricane season.
I'd wait before saying this is the end. The spring time pattern is fully in place and long range models don't really have it breaking down within a couple of weeks AFAIK. That storm that caused yesterday's outbreak dropped temps here into the low 40s the past two nights and highs for us didn't even crack 80. They got snow in the Much of the Rockies north of NM. Snow levels were 10,000 feet but it is late June after all.
Pretty strong storm system.
i could be wrong, but this system looks like it'll make it here
