tbh he's one of the best defensive players in the league.
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.c...derson-varejaoBrown coached Varejao during all five of Brown’s seasons in Cleveland, and not surprisingly, grew to love Varejao’s defense, energy and at ude. Now that Brown has been hired as Phil Jackson’s replacement with the Lakers, sources say he is trying to convince the Lakers front office to see what it would take to bring Varejao to L.A.
Now, none of this is to say the Lakers will follow through. There is no hard evidence that they have contacted the Cavs about the man known as “Wild Thing,” or that they ever will. But as one Lakers insider said, it almost makes too much sense not to explore.
LA Cavaliers?![]()
tbh he's one of the best defensive players in the league.
Unless your getting Bynum, Gasol or Odom in return.....why would Cleveland made such a deal?
Classic "hate him til he's on your team" kind of guy. Might be the heir to Vlade as a flopping big man.
It's all rumors and conjecture apparently but I'm curious to see what the Lakers would offer. Pretty funny if Brown's already decided he doesn't like Bynum.
tbh that would a great pickup
they wouldn't have to worry about Dirk anally raping their team everytime they faced him
Varajeo is annoying as but he is a great defensive player
He's softer than Pau though... I guess the fact that he has no offense would entice Kobe to approve...
The bench does need defense, the entire team could use some more defensive players as well as shooters.
Bynum's trade value is insanely over-rated.
"If he can stay healthy" he's proven that he can't.. He's also proven he is a pain in the locker room, immature and at times a head-case..
"Hustle" is not often seen at the Lakers.
And once Kobe touches the ball neither is "Flow".
Varejao is near-worthless on a bad team like the Cavaliers, but would be a terrific addition to an actual contender. He really is an outstanding defender, particularly against the finesse PF's like Dirk and KG. Not that he shuts those guys down, but he makes them work.
That having been said, Cleveland shouldn't jump at the first chance to deal him. They can afford to wait until something good comes along.
I don't see anyone on the Lake Show the Cavaliers should want who the Lake Show would actually want to give up. Bynum is always hurt and would be looking for the exit as soon as he got here, tbh.
Mike brown is looking to be fired soon.
what, mr-shoot-30-a-game-bryant ain't working for you no more?
A 20 shot per game average last year and 19.4 average over his 15 year career withstanding.
Exaggerate much?![]()
Would be a nice addition to any contender like Joe said, but I don't see what they could give up.
Varejeo owed 7.7 mil, 8.4mil, 9.1 mil next 3 years lol.
I still can't believe that re ed contract Ferry gave him.
Thunder Dan and JoeTait trying to argue Ferry was a good GM in 2009 and 2010
would be a gamble imo, dude in his days was a real good player but he got badly injured the past season which cost him almost the whole season, knows if he can get back 100%
He's good, not great. But Cleveland wouldnt give him up for scraps......
man if the cavs can get pau gasol for a vajayjay + mo williams deal ....just need to draft erving and another wing player..
