Finished watching the video, I liked everything he said except one item. Here is another, only 2 weeks old:

Found this on C-Span. Two months old, but interesting to watch:
Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson (R) Declares Candidacy for President in 2012

Gary Johnson's the real thing and therefore has zero chance to win. GOp voters don't know who he is and he can't possibly raise enough money, despite serving two terms as Republican governor in a decidedly blue state.
I like him too, but he's far too libertarian with some of his views to get elected
No doubt about it. Governor of a western state is probably the ceiling for him.
Pailin, cough cough...
I actually like his stances, quite a bit.
He's isolationist. He thinks we should stay out of most people's backyards. I'm for that, in most cases.
Big civil liberty proponent. He even backs "soft power" over "hard power" by noting that everyone should have their day in court, even suspected terrorists.
He also wants to make it easier to get a work permit for immigrants.
He's for legalizing marijuana. He also refers to hard drug problems as a health issue, not a police issue.
I don't agree with getting rid of the Dept of Education, but I would say that the government-set mandated test scores is seemingly a failure, for various reasons, and we could repeal those.
Overall though, I like him. Thanks for posting WC.
Edit: Curious to know if he's one of those "Have to believe in God or you're dumb" politicians. I doubt it given his libertarian stance, but still curious.
The only thing I didn't like was him bringing up we have people on welfare who could work, but didn't go on to address any solution other than work visas for foreigners to take the jobs they don't want.
I want to put able bodied Americans back to work first. Then we can take work visas and necessary.

Who?
Oh yeah that Gary Cain guy. Thanks.
Oh yeah, he's probably not going anywhere. But it's nice to see people who share the views I have (or at least, a good deal) trying.
He belongs in charge of a think-tank, he's seems very pragmatic and like he wants to get to the root of the issues - BUT, President is not his place. Maybe he'd get picked up as a VP candidate?
I dig him, but I don't give him a chance either. :/
