I agree. A better deal has to arise if the Spurs are serious about trading Tony. No way they take a deal like the ones mentioned,
considering draft position now. Dumping TP is worthless for those pics.
Unless the team is basically saying we need to dump salary, don't care about receiving maximum worth.

Games aren't won by just trying hard either.
Different players...
Me too. If there was a RJ-Hill for Salmons-10 offer, I'd want the Spurs to take it 10 out of 10 times.
10 could be Singleton . . . or a sliding euro . . . or even that low-rent Mike Miller clone the Spurs allegedly like . . .
He's valuable to the team, but he's certainly not irreplaceable. Less shots for him, means more shots and a better rhythm for guys like Jefferson, who is a former 20PPG scorer in this league.
And let's not kid ourselves, Ginobili is twice the player that Parker is. It's apparent. He can impact the game in so many more ways than Parker can.
I would trade Salmons for RJ straight, but adding Parker for 10th is awful deal.

As several Tweeters note, this has to be leading to something else. Tony Parker could still be in the mix.
TIMVP as always is wise. Good to have you back and healthy.![]()
btw, whose troll is joshdaboss, tbh?![]()
+1. I'll take Sac's 10th pick and Salmons for Hill and RJ (If they want him).
I've seen some rumors bubble up that it's Casspi, Salmons, and the 10 for TP and RJ.
I want the Spurs to make a trade.
I just would prefer it to be something that includes George Hill. If Jefferson so happens to be included in the deal, then thats just a great bonus.
No, but that isn't the point of discussion here. The point is that those guys aren't soft, and soft is completely overused. The only one I think you could argue the jury is out on would be Bargnani, and that's because he hasn't had the opportunity to play on a championship team. I don't blame players for not giving maximum effort on every play, when they play for teams that are in the lottery.
Hill+RJ for Salmons +10 = Yes
Tony +RJ = Kill me
This sums it ALL up.![]()
Whoever uses Texas 2 Step.
Still horrible. I pray this is not true.
Turkoglu got a raw deal from Spurs fans. He was damn good in his early Orlando years. And he was a quality player for the majority of his one season with the Spurs.
Spurs fans fail to realize that sample-size in attempts/opportunity in the playoffs is important to correctly assess a players ability. (Even the "clutch" Robert Horry had several poor series throughout his career, but with adequate opportunity, the man performed really well at times--law of averages theory).
Turkoglu had 3 bad games against the Lakers in 04' (shooting-wise) and all of sudden Spurs fans make him out to be Jud Buechler in terms of skill.
Typical idiotic assessment.
Even worse than the initially-reported deal.![]()
That'd be pretty brutal.

The Spurs are still burning up the phone lines, trying to get into lottery.
