A lot my friends think this guy is a comedy god. Me, I really hadn't heard of him until after he died, and only on Tool's Aenema, so I can't agree or disagree with your " ty" claim. I knew it would piss off somebody

Bill Hicks wasn't that funny. He was more of a talker, not much on funny. He was interesting as to listen to, but Sam pretty much did the same act.

S'pose it really depends on your specific sense of humor what you consider to be "that" funny. In general, I tend to be more easily amused by talkers than jokers (if I'm understanding your meaning correctly).

Bill hicks was more 'right' than he was funny. I don't think he was ever that good at delivering a joke. They seem to come off better in writing.

Hecklers deserve to get called out and verbally assaulted...if you're gonna with somebody while they're trying to their thing...AND they're on a mic where EVERYONE can hear them and not really you...you need to STFU...and don't with people who make your food...

It's not really messing with hecklers...but no one could work a crowd like Joe Torry did back in the day on Def Comedy Jam. He was always jacking with the crowd...especially the celebs that were there.
