How many times can Bilas really say that someone has first round talent in the second round?

Both Leonard and Joseph are 19 years old. Spurs went with very young prospects. When you add that Spurs have lost a good player in Hill, they will be worst at the end of the draft that they were at the start of it.

Spurs are taking a step back and have maybe accepted to be a mediocre team for the end of the Duncan's era.

Okay, here's my hope for how this all pans out:

1.Cleveland really does want Joseph. They get him, and take RJ's contract. Spurs not worried about backup PG, because DeColo is coming over this year.

    2. Spurs already know that Lorbek is ready to come to NBA.

    3. Bertans is still on the board at 42, and turns out to be the gem of the second round.

    4. Splitter benefits greatly from training camp, and is ready to be the player we all hoped for.

    5. Neal benefits from the minutes that Hill used to get, and exceeds expectations yet again.
    @1 LOL

    @2 He aint coming

If Rockets pick Parsons, Bertans might be there for us.

Thank God no catastrophic TP trade happened. The Hill trade is by no means has the potential to be a major f up, but I feel many here under valued him
    The nights not over yet...

Probably, but might as well go for potential over absolute talent that's left.

Neal is a backup SG - nothing else. He will, most likely, be a backup SG for his career. I would expect Anderson to surpass Neal on the depth chart

Damn, every time I hear Shaun Livingston's name it makes me kind of sad. He was going to be such a monster defensive player.

Ouch. RT @STEIN_LINE_HQ: ESPN.com sources: Houston making newly acquired PG Jonny Flynn available to interested teams.
McHale: Jonny Flynn? Where do I know that name from? Oh, wait, dammit!

This is what I was thinking, but get back Harper and get either Baron or Boobie for RJ. DeColo.

Damnit, I wish they still had 30 people in the green room like the old days so we could see a Rashard Lewis moment with Selby.

A little extreme, don't you think? If we had dumped Parker, I might agree, but Spurs could still grab a backup PG in free agency.

    ESPN Insider

1(31) Miami (Rights traded to Minnesota) Bojan Bogdanovic 6-7 200 SF Bosnia
The Heat sent this to the Wolves for the 28th pick, and then the Wolves sold it to the Nets. Bogdanovic was the second-leading scorer in the Euroleague this year, so he can play. But his contract will keep him from coming to the NBA for at least the next two years.

2(32) Cleveland Justin Harper 6-9 228 PF Richmond
Love this pick for the Cavs. Harper is the opposite of Tristan Thompson. He can really stretch the floor. Good value here.

3(33) Detroit (from Toronto) Kyle Singler 6-9 228 SF Duke
The Pistons went for toughness at No. 33. Singler has struggled with his shot and lacks a clear position, but he's one of the toughest guys out there. One scout said he could be an Andres Nocioni type of player in the future.

4(34) Washington Shelvin Mack 6-3 209 PG Butler
I like Shelvin Mack. He's tough, he can shoot a bit and he can play the 1 and the 2. Nice player coming off the bench.

5(35) Sacramento Tyler Honeycutt 6-8 186 SF UCLA
The Kings were looking for a small forward and get a steal with Honeycutt. Had he stayed in school for another year, he could have been a solid first-round pick. Very good value here. He has a very high basketball IQ and can really pass it. Plus, UCLA players always seem to do better in the NBA. I like this pick for the Kings.

    6(36) New Jersey Jordan Williams 6-9 247 C Maryland
Williams is tough and an excellent rebounder, but he's undersized for his position. Still, the Nets needed help here.

I still expect the Spurs to turn Dice's contract into some sort of big man in the offseason... Unfortunately, I don't think they're going to be able to send RJ packing and I'm pretty sure they still love Matty....

I have a feeling the Spurs are going to still be extremely active going forward. This is just the beginning.

Exactly. It appears at the momnet the Spurs have decided to do nothing vs making an actual decision to either rebuild or push forward. They can't be delusional and think they are true contenders especially when their best Players don't believe that.

That is precisely what I don't find easy to comprehend.

Why did the Spurs have to lose a NBA mid-level player in George Hill to gain unknown quan ies in Leonard and Joseph? The Spurs have shown to have the best front office in the near past and this kind of capitulation'ism' is very difficult to accept.

Wayyy too soon to predict that. They've stuck with Parker, so I believe they're gonna give it another run.

Cleveland has Irving, BDavis, and Sessions. Why would they want a fourth point? Come on people.
