I compared a slight that Bonner receives to one that Parker should receive.
Hill is not going to be an all star.
WTF is up with Spurs fans?![]()

It's like the collective IQ of this board jumps off a cliff on Draft Night.
IMO Hill was very overrated. He's a good player but the guy's defense isn't very good, he gets picked off on screens A LOT leading to wide open shots, his rotations are late, and he's a mentally weak player which is something you can't fix. His minutes will go to Neal who is a much better offensive player than Hill, a better or just as good creator on offense as Hill, better size etc. His minutes will also go to Anderson who has more potential than Hill thanks to his size and skill set, dude can pass, score, and shoot like a beast.
Leonard has been compared to guys like Marion, M'Bah A Moute, and Gerald Wallace. Most mock drafts had him going in the top 10 (around 7-10). Leonard can defend big SF's/Guards, rebound (13th best re-bounder in the country) like crazy which WILL translate to the NBA, if you did any research on him you'd know that he totally revamped his shot mechanics this off season and was shooting lights out in workouts, don't forget the Spurs have CHIP ENGELLAND. This Spurs team wants to get back to the defensive team that it once was and by drafting Leonard they're getting back to that. Leonard is also a high motor guy that hustles like crazy, has a 7'3 wingspan (bigger than Blair's, Bynum's, Splitter's etc!) with 11.5 hands, and an 8'10 standing reach. He can defend extremely well, one of the best defensive players in the draft, he has the potential to be a lock down defender in the NBA. The Spurs got a steal with this guy going at 15.
The Spurs FINALLY got a long, defensive small forward they've been going after since Bowen retired. Last year they would get destroyed by SF's because they'd score on Hill/Neal at will (they'd guard SF because there were no back up SF's on the roster!) but thanks to Anderson getting minutes due to Hill's trade and Leonard that won't happen anymore. Don't forget Leonard may even start with RJ's piss poor play!
As for Joseph, he was just a rookie at UT with a lot of talent, obviously the Spurs' FO saw something special in this guy so they drafted him. I trust our FO 100% with their draft picks. It's been said that Joseph is a very good defender with great lateral speed.
Remember the Spurs aren't done making moves. They still want to get rid of RJ very badly and they can sign or trade for a big man during the off season.
Yeah I did because the rumors had Parker being traded for a high lottery pick.
Quit being a asshurt dbag already.
And Josh, is it? Josh, Hill during the season and even in the offseason when he's in town, was at the clubs every weekend. I once saw him out at 3 in the morning the day of a weekend game. So please stop acting like this kid was in the gym every second of the day.
He wasn't.
Parker has been receiving that slight from Spurs fans since he was drafted.
He probably won't be, but that's not really relevant. This scrub draft pick won't ever sniff the starting line-up. At least not any time in the foreseeable future, unless some freak injuries happen.
So how do you think the Spurs should have approached the draft? If these guys are really cheap bas s like you think.. what would have pleased you?
He's a rich athlete, is he supposed to just lock himself in the gym every waking moment of his life?
Let's call it like it is... OP is a troll.
Trading with Toronto. Giving up Parker, getting Calderon + other decent piece + their pick and then drafting Biyombo with it.
Career wise Hill is the new Antonio Daniels, bottomline.
Not a good starter but a good backup.
Atleast Leonard fills a hole the Spurs had.
Spurs were stacked at the two and Hill is not a good backup point because he can't run an offense.
way to take the argument to the extreme.
This ing guy here. You have to be Hill's secret man lover.![]()
Calderon doesn't make the Spurs better. Taking a step in the wrong direction. Parker is a top 10 PG in the league.
You're right. It would probably be stupid to acquire a pass-first point guard with all of the scoring weapons this team has. It would probably be stupid to get a guy that's capable of 50/40/90 seasons with 8+ assists and then drafting a freak athlete with a 7'7" wingspan, who just put up the first triple double ever recorded at the hoop summit.
Probably staring at his infamous picture right about now too.
I love you George Hill

Ginoboli, Joseph, Quinn. Plus there is free agency. You actually think the Spur's FO is done with rosters moves in June?
Have you pondered why everyone here is ting on you, and no one has come to your defense?
Because I rub the fact I know more about the NBA than them in their faces.
You do? Since when?
I can't recall the date that I joined the site.
