I think JJ signs elsewhere for big bucks. Somebody is going to overpay him and it won't be the Mavs. He's turned into a valuable useful player in the 20-25 mpg role the Mavs have given him, but I can see some other team promising him a bigger role where his flaws will be exposed more. Roddy will need to step up in JJ's absence.

I think Peja retires, so hopefully that keeps a roster spot open for Stevenson.

And then hopefully we can resign Chandler under the new CBA. If all that happens, I really like our chances to repeat.

Speaking of Landry, I wonder what he will do now. I'll take him now that West is a gimp, but I doubt David will opt out after he tore his ACL.

If Oden can get healthy we'll take you down.

I think it's 50/50 Oden will ever play again. I'd be surprised if he becomes an impact player.

I think you're wrong. He's a unique talent and the indications are that he has a very good chance of being healthy long term.

Yes, a good indication of health is not being able to jump without fracturing a knee cap.

players i'd rather sign than cardinal:

    leon powe
    louis amundson
    chuck hayes
    josh mcroberts
    kris humphries
    carl landry
Landry would be amazing, but no way in can the Mavs afford him. Hayes would be nice too. I really wish they never traded Humphries away. I always thought they would regret that.

No one on this forum is wrong more frequently than you. Well, aside from cheguevara and Obstructed_View, but they dont count, as they are stupid beyond human comprehension.

i hope we don't resign cardinal, need to sign a real backup pf. dude found a way to contribute this year but i gotta say no to resigning him. see if jamison would sign for the minimum and win a ring backing up dirk first.
i say we just keep cardinal. he's obviously got good chemistry with the guys and he has a defined role on the team as a hustle player who's not afraid to give hard fouls and piss off the other team. And it's not like he's gonna receive any hefty offers like Barea probably will

You already proved you are a stupid that knows jack about basketball.

Stevenson was nice, but Fernandez is a MUCH better basketball player, and a better fit for the Mavs than Stevenson. They finally have a legit SG for the first time since Michael Finley. He's not as strong defensively, but hes not just atrocious either. But his offensive contributions is what will be most useful. Dude is a great spot-up shooter (something he will get lost of in the Mavs system), can put the ball on the floor and get to the hoop/dish, and can play off the ball and get easy buckets with slashing. He can even give solid minutes running point. High IQ player.

If the Mavs resign both Butler and Chandler, Fernandez will be an absolutely perfect fit for the Mavs. And if they can actually be healthy heading into the playoffs, they have a shot to make another serious run.
Yes Stevenson wasn't a good fit. He only helped us win a championship! Replacing a clutch shooter and great defensive player with a choker and a poor defender is always a good idea to a team that just won a championship!

Who said he wasnt? I know I never once said he wasn't.

lol thinking Harris is a better fit for this team than Kidd.

When has Fernandez ever been known as a choker? Dude plays fearless. he damn near led Spain to a victory over the US in the gold medal game in 2008.

He's not as good of a defender as Stevenson, but hes not horrible by any means. He definitely can hold his own, especially with a guy like Chandler behind him.
