I know he's not good enough to stick in Barcelona (no shame there), not good enough to stick in Tottenham (), and can't even start in his middle of the road Spanish team (
).
But yeah, clearly I don't know enough about the guy, so I'll be quiet now![]()
Tim Howard calls ceremony a 'disgrace'

I have to say I completely agree with Howard, I was mad that after a while the Univision guy decided that he wasn't going to bother saying everything in English first, and he was obviously more dull in English. They should have had someone better up there introducing the players and awards.. that was horrible, don't involve Univision with CONCACAF..

You really don't it seems.
I must have struck a nerve.
I'll stay away from commenting on Mexico. Last bit though is I can definitely say Chicharrito is very good and I liked Rafa Marquez in his Barça days.![]()
Congrats Mexico. The better team won
US back line is atrocious. Cherundolo leaving was tough, but I doubt it would have translated to a different score had he not been hurt. Every time the ball came near Goodson I would cringe. Also, distribution from the back continues to be terrible. US has to find somebody to put back there that is capable of making smart decisions and is willing to keep the ball on the ing ground. Yeah, it's hard when there's so little cohesion on the back line, but strides must be made if they are to improve their possession. Finally, they really need to learn how to run an effective offside trap. Garbage...
When is the US going to figure out how to move off the ball? They only have a few guys who seem to have a sense for that. It could be due to Bob playing so many different guys, but it's still tough to watch when somebody is on the ball and all you see around him are people loafing and watching. US will never be dynamic until they have a front 6 that is committed to getting into space and creating opportunities. (look at Mexico, they excel in that regard)
I'd also like to see the US have a better strategy in terms of putting pressure on opposing defenders. Lag to the half-line and watch seems to be the current thinking, which leads to a bunch of extra possession for the opposing side.
Adu was great, he's really in command when he has the ball on his feet. He can be a difference maker, let's hope he gets more caps. One of the few US players that isn't afraid to attack defenders head-on, which frees space for everyone else. imo, he'd be much more effective in the middle. He could become world-class if he can up his work-rate and not have as many mental lapses. Still, seeing his performance in this game really gives me some hope for the future.
Mexico on the attack is a beautiful thing to watch, Dos Santos and Barrera are MEN. Also, props to Chicharito for not touching that ball just to get credit for the goal. Team first. Some legit great goals from the mexican side. That chip was in' sick.
Mexico's back line has issues too, but they'll always be in games due to their offensive prowess. I would think they have a real chance in the confed cup.
Glad there weren't issues with the officiating.
You fool. That's what you get for talking .
Man, I had this crazy nightmare that we were up 2-0 but we put Jonathan Bornstein in the game and choked it away. Woke up in a cold sweat.
Looking forward to the game tonight!
It was cool - no fights or even disputes. Everyone who was rooting for Mexico was with people also rooting for the US, everyone was good natured and respectful.
Before the match I started out by giving everyone in a Mexico jersey a yellow card in good natured fun.
When Gio scored that Golazo it was a "wow" moment that it's impossible to be upset with (kind of like David Villa's goal in the CL Final) if you are on the opposing side.
Mexico? More like southern Arizona!
I saidddddddddddddddddddd
This is actually an ASU favorite insult. "U of A, more like North Mexico Tech, get it, because Tucson is close to Mexico!"
Omg what a destruction
Lol usa goalkeeper crying after 4th goal
If you wanna cheer for Mexico, move back there you gross ed
seriously, i wish all s/white bandwagoners who rooted for Mexico would just get deported already
Idk why they cheer for Mexico. If Mexico was so great, they'd live there tbh.
tbh lefty gets a lot of , but atleast he sticks by his suicide mission sympathizing dune coons unlike the other s around here who don't give a about Mexico in sports that they're irrelevant in (which is pretty much all of them but still)
Oh I KNOW the score would have been different if Dolo was still there. The first two goals were completely there because Bornstien got burned so hard. The first especially.
He got burned so bad.
The score would've been different if mexico wasn't playing their 3rd string keeper, 2 of their veteran and experienced defenders injured and Maza being suspended. Salcido was getting burned so bad it was obvious he wasn't fit.
What do you think would've happened?
Mexico, despite the two U.S. goals dominated the entire game.. It was only a matter of time before they would've made their run... they did it throughout the Cup..
It's ridiculous to think anyone in the defense would've stopped Mexico's forwards yesterday.. Even with Dolo, Mexico should have scored.. multiple times..
If the score didn't get any worse for the USA, it was mostly because Mexico failed to capitalize on many of their chances.
Oh please. US had plenty of injuries too. The rest of that is of your own teams doing. No one told them to cheat or beat up coaches.
Fact - Mexico didn't score with Dolo in game
Fact - Mexico scored 4 after Dolo left the game.
These are just the facts, Mexico fans. Enjoy your win. I'm not adding an asterisk on it like someone here was ready to do earlier in the week. I'm just stating the facts.
If you can say the score would be different because Dolo was subbed out then we can use the same excuse.
