Race Is The Real Reason Most People Support The Owners Over The Players

In pretty much every opinion poll I've voted in, most people support the owners over the players. Most of the excuses I've seen have been centered around not supporting selfish greedy players. I have to wonder about these ing idiots who support owners who are just as greedy, make more than the players and make bad financial decisions to begin with.

Now you guys know I don't like using the race card....but I do wonder though...if the league was 90% white would these same people be for the owners...something tells me not. It reminds me of the republicans so masterfully getting poor white folk, and the middle class conservatives to vote against their own best interests in favor of companies that don't give 2 s about them. but I digress...but I think I'm right in this case...this is a referendum on the jealous majority hating to see these s getting paid...plain and simple...

Just like in Hockey....do you honestly beleive if the NHL was 90% black they would let them fight it out like they allow those white hockey players to do...No ing way man...America would be too afraid to watch a bunch of s go upside each others head but they're fine with watching white violence...I guess their rationale would be:" We don't want to encourage those s"....

I realize the owners are unbelievably loaded, but when most of them are losing millions of dollars it doesn't take a genius to realize something needs to change.

Both sides have some fault, but I just have a hard time dealing with the sense of en lement from the players. They need to put things in perspective.

And the players, they want player salaries to go up to an average of 7 million and 105 million per team? That was their best offer to prevent a lockout? ing greedy assholes, you're already getting paid A MINIMUM of like 500 grand a year to dribble a ing ball while most doctors could never even dream of making that money.

I understand they are the best of the best and because the NBA is a very lucrative business they deserve to be paid but asking for the team's total salary to go up 30 million on average is ludicrous and just greedy. The owners are ing re ed for giving these massive contracts out to players like Rashard Lewis and Hedo and now every player thinks they deserve more money.

i'm torn the owners shouldn't get a do over when they make a bad investment, but the players shouldn't make a ton of many when they don't do

outside of Latrell Sprewell...who I admire in a way.... the sense of en lement comes from the owners. The players are the ones actually lacing em up to play...that's not en lement that's hard work, albeit some do get lazy...but by and large the players are far from en led...your sense of fairness is just what Republicans do to the majority of people...don't be fooled son...

For example:

You have a Tea Party member, a Union Member, and a Corporate Exec dining at a restaurant. A waiter brings out 12 freshly baked cookies and before anyone can say anything the corporate exec takes 11 of the cookies immediately...he then turns to the tea party member and says: " You better watch that Union guy he's trying to steal half your cookie."

So no en lement is not on the side of the players it's from the owners...100% it's just how the world works son...you'll learn this one day...I'm trying to teach you like my pops taught me...

If you get into a college on Affirmative Action that doesn't mean you get to stay if you don't make the grades...what's more insidious and harmful to college ins utions is Legacy Based admissions where you (whitey) can get failing grades but because grandpa donated 5 million to the school your dumb ass gets to stay failing grades or not...so let's be intellectually honest here...

and last I checked s didn't crash wall street, or steal billions ( Bernie Madoff, Ken Lay, Jeffery Skilling, etc, etc...I guess these guys are supremely gifted...

limit gauranteed contracts based on projections...for example Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Dirk, etc should be gauranteed, longer years...lesser players to lesser years...70 / 30 split of revenue...players reduce BRI to 52% (down from 57%) and no hard cap period and it's a win win for all....I hope the players are prepared to sit out 2 yrs...I will be sad for my brothers if the owners win....

The players are in greedy but the owners are the ones that sign the checks and overpay their greedy asses. You know things are bad when a player like Greg Oden is offered 8 million dollars to play in the NBA next season. I mean come on, a player with his history of injuries and bad luck and let's not forget that he's not even an all star calibur player being offered 8 million dollars for 1 season?
