    The American hypocrisy is too staggering for me to comprehend. Kind of like the cosmos. I don't celebrate 4th of July anymore and don't think I ever will again. Not trying to discourage you from doing so but to me it's a sham celebration. I find it funny the USA wants to celebrate it's freedom from Great Britain with pomp, glory, and fireworks, and then turn right around and enslave Blacks, displace Mexicans, and straight up commit genocide against the Native Indians tribes.

    Thanks but no thanks to this celebration. America wants to celebrate it's freedom with such glory and attention but until I see them celebrating juneteenth --> http://www.juneteenth.com/ then July 4th is off limits for me.

    This celebration was for white males only. I'm not falling for that trap. Give other important dates that meant freedom for other races the same attention (other than just white males) then I'll celebrate it...until then I will just chunk a deuce...

    but think about it....why not celebrate slaves freedom like you celebrate your independence from Britain. America wants to have holocaust shrines but don't want to remember slavery because the Holocaust isn't something they perpetrated so they want to celebrate it's remembrance...but when it comes to dirty America did ( aka slavery) then they want to forget about it and move on....How convenient...
