Not true. If it were true, people wouldn't be dying in Texas fields with empty water jugs in their hands. My game cameras wouldn't have pics of Mexican hordes walking through my lease with gallons of water. Funny, I haven't noticed any American homeless people traveling to Mexico.

Wealthier nations have better standards of living even at the lowest level.

you really need to travel or at least watch the travel channel or some international news. You will see that ppl are not dropping dead overseas because they have nothing to eat.

Nothing wrong with Texas BBQ, but I see the world far more often than I would like. Also, I am married to a Mexican woman and visit Mexico very frequently.

If the Mexican (not Mexican-American) could live as well as the American homeless, they would never come to the US to pick fruit. The reason the homeless will not do those jobs is the same reason they won't do any job, because unlike people in many other countries, they aren't required to work in order to survive. The social welfare system in the US will allow a person to survive if they accept meager living, without working a minute. Sure they might hold a cardboard sign and parade around on a corner with a fake limp, but they don't even have to do that. That's just for alcohol and drug money.

Don't you think that plenty Mexicans would love to not have to lift a finger to get fed and sheltered? Our homeless would starve to death in Mexico.
