With so many defenders packing the box, you HAVE to shoot from outside and not dribble the ball through half the CR team.

This game has been a step in the right direction so far.
But Arg needs to get better.

and LMAO wow that was a penalty, most blatant non-call I've seen in a while, just as blatant as the women's WC when that one defending player held the ball for a few seconds and play resumed. Messi delivered a great ball for Higuain, who got held by both arms on the shirt and shoulders, was dragging the CR defender for a few feet until the keeper reached it first. That was laughable.

Don't be fooling yourself, we played Costa Rica's U-21... he ain't getting that much space against other teams... which is somewhat the sad part: If Messi didn't have as much room I don't know that we win tonight.
Gago and DiMaria made a huge difference in the middle though... instead of passing the ball within Burdiso, Milito and Mascherano, we moved the ball with Gago, Di Maria and Messi...

Higuain missed a bunch of easy looks today but don't understate the fact that he got those looks. He's always playing in the line of the last defender, sprinting to get those looks. If Tevez would have played instead of him, he would have gone down to the miedfield instead of staying in the box, the presence of a true centerforward helped create all those chances. Don't overlook the art of "beign there".

I loved having Higuain there... even if he misses, you know he'll eventually make them, plus he puts a lot of pressure on the defenders to follow him, so they can't bunch up on the guys in the middle. He needs to stay a starter.
I call a playmaker a true number 10. Like Beto Alonso, Aimar, Bochini, Riquelme... guys that can come from the middle and organize the offense.
Messi is a forward, he's just very unselfish, which is great. I'm not complaining, I just think he's more of the style of Franchescoli or Del Piero that can finish just as easily as they can assist.
I'm very relieved right now. I'll enjoy watching Brazil play for their lives with the tranquility of beign in the second round
