I can see them luck out in Penalties but Argentina is local and also is a great team, Uruguay is not as good as the WC results and Argentina (undefeated BTW) is not bad as y'all are describing it...

I think Argentina depends on lucking out that Batista screws up and puts a compe ive team out there, instead of playing a triple-5 or quadruple-5 (Mascherano, Banega, Cambiasso, Biglia crofl). I liked the team that played against CR, we'll see if it sticks.
Our defense is pathetic. The only reason there has been no 'debacles' is because Romero has been superman so far and Colombia screwed up, but that ain't going to last. Suarez can beat Burdiso AND Milito one-on-one... same with Forlan. We have Zanetti playing with his foot changed on the left. It's a disaster.

Higuain does other things besides scoring goals too, you may found interesting that he started his career as a number 10, he is not one of those stiffs centerforwards.

agree US is no better but its not far behind.
Uruguay, Chile + Paraguay had better WC yes. And WC is where it matters. It's like the playoffs of soccer.

They really should do an "american" cup with 24 teams instead of the GC/CA . Teams like usa and mexico would improve with better opponents.
